35559 @Leslie - Hope your daughter feels better soon.

With the increased goal, we are aiming to read 19,300 pages. Way to go team!

35559 It's May 8 8 am PDT. You have to update the mods before then.

35559 Melissa, just checked my book lost. To read book #5, you have to read the two Night huntress world books (sorry, my bad) First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World, #1) by Jeaniene Frost as the book #5 spoils the events happened in those books. It was not mentioned in the book blurb which I didn't appreciate it at all.

35559 Yeah, they were like book crack. Totally how I felt. It was actually a RRRC PIFM rec so that was my crack series that month.

Ah, thanks. Good to know.

35559 Yeah, I love how wacky they are. Have you read her Ain't She Sweet by Susan Elizabeth Phillips ? I think she's brave in attempting to write one. Former rich high school bully comes back poor. I should re-read it sometime.

Kirsten - will definitely let you know.

35559 The reason I stopped it was this: I was gobbling the series books continuously. Then when I hit book 4/5 (can't remember which), it was like I was thrown in the middle of some other series. So many things had happened and I was bewildered. I then realised those happened in the first Night Hunter world book. I got irritated. I probably should go back but I can't work up the motivation.

35559 Yeah, I have read most of SEP. I keep think I shouldn't do re-reads; that I have enough books to read but somehow I always end up re-reading something or the other. I'm so loving Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips - can't wait for Alex to stop being a jerk and Daisy's transformation.

Leslie, there seem to be short stories before the first book. Should all those be read? I fear my OCD might come out then.

35559 I went to the library and I found a brand new copy of Match Me If You Can (Chicago Stars, #6) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips . It was so tempting that I just finished reading it. Love SEP!

Also finished Wonder by R.J. Palacio - A book about a boy born with facial deformity and his middle school life. It was lovely. I really loved all the MC. The author captured the PoV of Olivia, elder sister of August, the hero very well.

Also picked up Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips & Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1) by Jennifer Estep

35559 As always, another great reading place, Leslie!

I stopped reading the Cat &Bones at about 4 or 5. Right about when she had the night hunter novels. Sadly, I think I've given up on that series.

Leslie, based on your posts, I *think* you *like* The Elemental Assasin series? Starting with Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1) by Jennifer Estep . The library had new copies and I was reminded of you. I picked it up hopefully to start tomorrow.

35559 Love the first pick and you can sure dream of the second :P

Do pick the JoJo Mayes book - I really loved it!

35559 Rebecca, could you increase mine to 4500? I finished Match Me If You Can (Chicago Stars, #6) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Wonder by R.J. Palacio . Right now, I'm at 3384 pages.
35559 Yay! Another doublet!!

35559 Thanks for the update, Rebecca! I'll definitely let you know.

Leslie - I can't believe you'd let the fine pileup. I'm OCD enough that if I know the return date is tomorrow, I'll be planning to either renew or return asap. I can't stand a black mark fine.

Rebecca - If you are reading in a e-book reader/iPad, near the last few days, just switch off Wifi/3G and change the date to a previous day or 2 days before. The library system will definitely take you off the hook but your e-reader/iPad will be under the misconception that it still has time. I'm not sure how effective this is as I haven't tried before but it looks like it might work.

35559 I finished 3 books today:

Portraits of Passion by Nora Roberts , The Billionaire's Pregnant Mistress (Petronides Brothers Duo #1) by Lucy Monroe and Lord of Scoundrels (Scoundrels, #3) by Loretta Chase .

I think the either of the first two could qualify for the white cover? LoS was an impulsive re-read. I was browsing my library's digital catalogue when I saw it was just returned. Man, I enjoyed it the same this time around. Jessica Trent is an awesome heroine. And my favorite. I really like Sebastian Dain but Jessica just stole the show completely. The author did a great job with this book.

35559 Yay! Thanks loads, Lisa Kay!
