35559 I finished up Courting Miss Hattie by Pamela Morsi yesterday. It was a really, really good and I loved it. Once again, LK didn't fail me (even though she wasn't aware).

Also finished up Principal of Love by Patricia McLinn . It was a rec from Dear Author and a real good one. A little dated contemporary but the h was so different - A socially awkward person who had to take classes on how to deal with other people. The romance was really good. Josh pushed at Vanessa again and again and their journey together was wonderful.

And I've started Deadline (Newsflesh Trilogy, #2) by Mira Grant yesterday.

35559 Catherine, for the Alphabet Title (which is what we are doing for #2), the books you read in September towards that challenge can be used for our September Challenge.

Basically, any books you finish in September for any of the three challenges that we are doing will count for that challenge and our September challenge. Do I make sense?

I haven't come to that part yet but if I remember right, Durmstrang come via a Ship & Beauxbaton (pardon my spellings) come via a flying carriage with some type of horses. But it's more like a flashy entrance and not really a explanation.

35559 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4) by J.K. Rowling HP

I started GoF on Saturday. Sorry, I really couldn't wait till Monday. I'm at the part where they've reached Hogwarts. Jim Dale is still awesome.

And after reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3) by J.K. Rowling , the major question I had was what is the major distance that you can apparate? If it's international, just imagine - no aeroplane hassle! No passports! No transportation costs!

If not, how did the Weasleys get to Egypt for vacation? Floo Network? Is it international too?

35559 Since it's been ages I did an update.. I just finished up The Vor Game (Vorkosigan Saga, #6) by Lois McMaster Bujold - awesome installation as always. ShoSho should be glad I finished. She was waiting for me to!

I started Courting Miss Hattie by Pamela Morsi today. I'm ridiculously excited to start this book. LK has given it 5 stars and that usually means a great read for me too.

Also doing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4) by J.K. Rowling on audio - Jim Dale is an amazing narrator. And Midnight Tides (Malazan Book of the Fallen, #5) by Steven Erikson which I haven't read in a week.

35559 I can't wait for September to start!! I feel like I'm limbo with my reading.

Judy & Chris - Susanna Kearsley is one of my favorite authors. Her prose is so lyrical and I don't notice time when I'm reading her book. I would recommend her The Rose Garden by Susanna Kearsley or Mariana by Susanna Kearsley . Both are really good.

35559 Judy: It's like two love stories in one and yes, it does have HEA. Both do.

My reading has slowed down too in the last two weeks. RL has been sooo crazy.

35559 Good to know, Amanda. I'm getting really tempted to pick it up but it'll work well for the September Challenge.

LK, the beginning of each chapter has those illustrations, right? Those are really good! I'm tempted to pick up the DTB but I decided to do straight audio this time.

35559 Yay, Karen!! I'm so glad you liked it. I liked it for the same reason too - no angst and no love triangle. That's like a double rare commodity in the YA market. I think you might like Jellicoe Road even better. Starts off a little confusing but it progresses so beautifully!

The Harry Potter Books According to Draco Malfoy"

That link is good, Ashley. The titles are giggle worthy.

Ooh, glad to know that was good. It's on my TBR and I'm thinking off pushing it up.

There are information regarding the September Monthly Challenge

1. The mods have modified the September Challenge a bit:
- If we just aim for the % (without fitting the books into the challenge)
9.9% = 4 BAP
8.33 to 9.8% = 2 BAP
7 to 8.2 = 1 BAP

- If we aim to fit the books into the challenges (the original version):
9.9% = 9 BAP
8.33 to 9.8% = 7 BAP
7 to 8.2 = 5 BAP

There is no change to our challenge plan as we have already decided to go with the original challenge. The best news is that when we hit the number, we will get 9 BAP.

2. Which brings us to... We have to choose our two challenges by the end of the month:
◈ For the A-Z Challenge, we suggest either:
Author Alphabet Reading Challenge OR Title Alphabet Reading Challenge. Please post which challenge you would prefer in the September Discussion Thread.

◈ For the third challenge, we have decided to go with Animal Alphabet Spell-It-Out Challenge as it gives the maximum flexibility for us to fit all our books.

Please note that we have time till September 20 to change our challenges if we face any difficulty.

I love the little extra scene at the end of the movie though, with Gideroy Lockhart in the straightjacket!"

There is an extra scene? *rushes off to find the dvd*
