They're pretty close. The puff pastry and the custard are slightly different, cause it's the bakery's secret recipe.

Pasteis de Belem

Pasteis de nata

The first ones are mostly always warm, and begin for powdered sugar and cinnamon.

35559 I hope you have a wonderful trip too!

Although, why would someone prefer to visit the Tower of London instead of the Belem Tower, is something that doesn't compute on my book.

I'm pretty sure there are no pasteis de Belem near the London one :P :P :P

35559 If it was easy, being called a "challenge" would be weird

35559 Ouch.

And i just discovered that A Dirty Job (Grim Reaper, #1) by Christopher Moore is tagged 2006.

Nice!

35559 I'm also at a dead end. Hopefully, I won't need to get back to the start.
Mar 30, 2022 01:35AM

35559 It also doesn't help that books that are tagged 2006 that I could read are either from the library, so they need extra effort, or don't match the need for a A-M title, or from scary authors, or just over 500 pages.

Meh.

Holly Black usually uses fairies, not fae. I think.

I didn't say that. I said not to tempt fate.

Wobble had a very fun concept... but it was a nightmare to run. Besides, very long challenges tend to feel an obligation. I rather have two different challenges, with a little break in the middle than a big one like wobble.

But that's my two cents. Not my call to make anymore. I'm pretty happy to be in the sidelines. Although, I'm pretty sure I'd be miserably trying to keep up with such a long long challenge.
