I never read a book from Fernando Pessoa. But then again, my parents were Circulo de Leitores agents, so they stocked on all the classics, I even have the complete works of Ferreira de Castro somewhere, and ditched anything that on their opinion, wasn't worth it. My first issy fit about books was when they refused to buy the Lord of the Rings trilogy because it wasn't worth the price.

I have forgiven them, but as you can see I didn't forget. I ended up owning the trilogy, but not from the limited edition with the pretty hard covers.

I haven't read the Tomás Noronha series yet, it's on the list for towers since books are around 500-600 pages, but I know they're translated to English. They call him the Portuguese Dan Brown, and like Dan Brown, it seems that the books can also be read out of order. But again... Haven't tried yet. Even if I have A Fórmula de Deus aka The Einstein Enigma on my shelf since it was published

35559 Hi team!

I'm Sonia, a tower team veteran, and I'm looking forward to play with all familiar and new faces.

I'm from near Lisbon, Portugal - Filipa we're finally in a team together!

My favorite genres are MM romance and Urban Fantasy. But I'm usually open to try new genres, even if I shy away from horror or classics.

After years talking about it, I finally joined a library, and since I discovered that reading translations sucks, I'm in a quest to explore the contemporary Portuguese authors - I hated all the classic ones during school years.

There's more about me, but let's not share all in a day.

Tomorrow I'll send friend invites and talk about captain stuff!

35559 In our defense, I think we both slept around 10-15 hours total in the 3 days that took us from the team making to the challenge being up and ready.

Time-zone difference was a bit blurry and all (not the only thing blurry, if I recall correctly)

You know, you were the first not-in-the-same-page conversation I had with LK... something in the lines of:

- Why are you making Steven captain? He said he wasn't ready for it
- No, he said he would be captain
- No he didn't. *checks threads* Oh, he changed his mind, sorry, just me being a mother hen to my A-team chickadees

You mean the whole 2-3 weeks more of you being on the amazing A-Team?

LOL

A few? I'm pretty sure your name has been one of the regulars through the years. If memory serves, you were one of Steven's Mango Tangos, for towers 2. I can't remember if you were on the first towers... But hey, the teams were so big on that one that I can't say for sure who was on my team. I had a lot of fun organizing the teams readathon, and we didn't win, that was team C, but that's it.

35559 Oh hon, I was just kidding. Being in pain is terrible business, I sure hope nothing is broken or worse.

Ouch. That doesn't sound good. Wishing for a speed recovery.

Although I must confess I'm slightly disappointed... Stuck in a chair all day and not a single eye candy picture?!

Tsk tsk

Right? Even my 9 y.o. niece was giggling at it.

It is going to change soon. After a ton of research because let's face it, read a 50 shades type of book it's so 2010s...

*giggles*

I'm mostly kidding. But I'm a darn mood reader and not finding something I felt like reading, it would cause me to fight it every. single. page.

The problem was the odd number of pages, which is harder to find that it should be.

Luckily, the maze seems to really like my favorite MM series, so, I am happily re-reading the boys. I didn't realize I missed them so much. Of course, first time (fine, timessss) I read Touch & Geaux it destroyed me, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this time I don't get as affected.

Good thing I already hit my UNO quote and Towers only starts in 3 weeks because it might take some time to recover.
