35559 There's a giraffe in Takedown Twenty.

35559 I have a palindrome title I can read next if I don't need to read the radish one right now. ;)

I can read mine in a couple of hours if you want to focus on the dinosaur. If not, I'll find a different goal. No problems either way. :) "

My dinosaur book is my work book, so I will concentrate on that and leave the radish book until later. It has a cat named Ed so maybe a pet goal will pop up. :D

35559 I'm actually reading a radish book right now and a dinosaur one. I think we should dump the gemstone ones though, can't find them anywhere.

Date Finished: 09/24/15

Swords on cover for mini-challenge. Moth (The Moth Saga #1) by Daniel Arenson
Hand cannon for mini-challenge - page 297 - "The oil spilled. The hand cannons fired."
Sep 23, 2015 03:05PM

35559 I found "hand cannon" in the book I'm reading. Yay, I can participate in the weapon count. :)
Sep 23, 2015 09:13AM

35559 Too bad I can't share one. :)

35559 Delta knocked out Gabrielle's cover weapon goals in one fell swoop - BRAVO! Spartacus, Juba and Varro all need one more cover weapon each. I have one book with a sword on the cover (I think, does this look like a sword to everyone? Moth (The Moth Saga #1) by Daniel Arenson ) that is written by a Daniel which is a top name in Spain. It will probably take me two full days to finish though. I also have a country in the title book that I could probably finish by tonight.

Is anyone else from Juba reading a book with a weapon on the cover?

Finished: One Second After by William R. Forstchen by William R. Forstchen - 352 pages
Date Finished: 09/23/15
Goal - Maximus: Read a book where a character is given a last chance.
I think this will work. After the war the last few prisoners are released. Page 306 - "I'm not going through some bullshit ritual of you swearing to me that you will leave, never return and repent. Don't ever come back. I ask but one thing. We've given you back your lives. Do not take any more lives, for then you will surely be damned forever."

No weapons for mini-challenge.

35559 How annoying, I just found "English longbowmen" in my book completely out of the blue, so close but not close enough.

Finished: The Noble Fool (The Hungering Saga, #1) by Heath Pfaff by Heath Pfaff - 241 pages
Date Finished: 09/22/15
Goal: None.
Possibilities: No chapters, no pets, monsters but no animals, no birthstones, no tarot, no songs, no poems, not good enough to be on any lists, don't know if Heath is a popular name anywhere, but not the lists we've already had. If we get the "think they're dead but not really dead" goal again it will work though. :)

It has a sword on the cover for Juba's list, The Noble Fool (The Hungering Saga, #1) by Heath Pfaff but no new weapons for the mini-challenge. Unless this would count for fire ship... the strange, blue fire driven ship approaching us.

Date Finished: 09/20/15
Goal - Barca: Read a book where the page numbers add to 19
1+9+9 = 19

Lots of guns but no fancy weapons for the mini-challenge.
Sep 20, 2015 12:01PM

35559 Okay, I can read for pages that add up to 19 instead of 3, since we have a few choices for that one. A Cold Day For Murder - 199 pages it is. :D
Sep 20, 2015 11:28AM

35559 I have a couple of 300 page books, I'll give one of them a shot this afternoon.
