35559 If The Rule of Three still hasn't been used, the Peterson (or possibly Petersen, don't have the book in front of me right now) family live on a farm.

35559 I actually found a book with a U pet I just haven't had time to start reading it yet. I also have a book with tarot cards but again, stupid lack of time. And this prison book is killing me.

I was planning to win the lottery on Friday and since I didn't, my life is just all screwed up. ;)

Finished: Tuscan Blood by Dick Rosano by Dick Rosano - 245 pages
Date Finished: 09/06/15
Goal - Spartacus: Read a book that contains the word artichokes
Location 2349 - ... but he obviously had decided that grilled vegetables and chicken with lemon and artichokes wasn't enough food.

35559 I'm reading Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood for a prison book. The font is very very small, so it is not a good nighttime reading book so I think I will switch it to my daytime work book. :D

I was checking my goalless books to see if there was anything there to be used and I noticed that Kelly has finished a book with two authors but the two authors goal is still active. Could we not use that?
Sep 05, 2015 03:06PM

35559 I have no artichokes, but I do have a prison book I can start tonight.

35559 I need a 15 minute GR break. Yuck, Saturdays!

As far as I can tell these goals are not yet being read for...

Read a book which has the main location (setting) as a prison or concentration camp.
Read a book where a pet name starts with the letter U. Brittney is reading one but we have two the same *grumble*. ;)
Read a book with the word highway, road, avenue or street (plurals are acceptable) in the title.
Read a book with an orange cover.

So I need to go find one of these books now.

Finished: Moonlighting In Vermont (A Bree MacGowan Mystery #1) by Kate George by Kate George - 242 pages
Date Finished: 09/04/15
Goal - Juba: Read a book with a pet rabbit
Page 7 - I fed the horses my elderly neighbor Max boards on my property, then the rabbits and the barn cat.

The sequel to this book has a senator in it, which I'm assuming (despite my less-than-firm grasp on American politics) is an elected position and therefore a politician? If no one is already reading for politician I'll tackle that one next.
Sep 04, 2015 06:06AM

35559 The MC in my book just fed the rabbits and chickens in her barn, they don't have names but they seem to be pets. Would that be good enough for the pet rabbit goal?

35559 I saw those Kelly, but my library doesn't have any of them either. Maybe a Kindle person will want to take one on.

35559 Thanks Brittney, you're my hero. I don't Kindle and my library doesn't have it though I've submitted the title for purchase.

One more U pet to find. :D
Sep 04, 2015 04:51AM

35559 I am determined to figure out these U pets! Not doing well so far, but apparently there is a dog named Umbra in The Story of Edgar Sawtelle if anyone has access to that book.

The next book I was planning to start is Ink and Bone (The Great Library, #1) by Rachel Caine but I don't get much reading done on weekends so you might beat me anyway. :D

I should have my pet starting with S done tonight.

35559 7/12 of our goals deal with pets right now, that's ridiculous. :)
