Chapters 1-4
1. Do you like the book so far? Why did you decide to read it? Is this a genre you normally read?
My library doesn't stock much fantasy or much YA so I don't read much of this genre. I'm also well past my YA years and that genre often leaves me rolling my eyes, happy that I am well past those years. :) This book I am liking so far. I admit to reading it for the TT points but I'm glad seems to be an enjoyable read as well.
2. During the parley in chapter two, Kaz tells rival gang member Geels: "A secret's not like coin. It doesn't keep its value in spending." What does Kaz mean by this? Do you agree with him?
I believe in keeping secrets, so few people do these days. I don't think coin keeps its value much any more either. So I don't agree, but not for the reason most people might have.
3. Inez seems to have led a very interesting life so far. What do you think her relationship with Kaz is? Does she have romantic feelings towards him? Is Inez someone you would trust? Is Kaz trustworthy?
I don't understand their relationship yet, but I think Inej feels more for Kaz than he does for her, a fairly common occurrence in YA. I wouldn't trust either of them.
4. If you could have a magical talent like the Grisha, what would you want your talent to be? Which category of Grisha types (listed in post 102) do you think would be most helpful to us in the real world?
I only know the ones that have been explained in this book so far and healers would probably be the most useful. I would personally go for alchemy and pay off my house with all the bedrock lying around here. :D
5. Have you read any of Leigh Bardugo's other books? If so, would you recommend reading her Grisha trilogy before reading Six of Crows?
Nope, no idea.

DANIELLE -- Read a book that has a number in the title with a series number one higher than that number.
ALLISON -- Read a book that is on your "to read" shelf with the lowest GR star rating.
DANIELLE -- Read a book where a character is a necromancer.

25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
DAY 4 -- Read a book with the word Santa in the text for 10 points! -- SARAH-JANE
DAY 5 -- Read a book with a green cover for 10 points! -- LALINE
DAY 6 -- Read a book with a turkey or pig on the cover for 10 points! -- DONNA

That's an annoying goal. Anyone read something like that recently?

Anything you read will almost certainly be used eventually for a goal - so read whatever you want to read. You never know when two guys named Tom might show up. :D

NEW GOAL -- Read a book where a character is a necromancer.
No necromancers listed on our goalless books page - anyone have one?

NEW GOAL: Read a book that is on your "to read" shelf with the lowest GR star rating"
I have to read my lowest rated book in a few days anyway, if no one else wants that one.

-- Read a book where 2 characters have the same first name.
-- Read a book with a yellow, orange or golden dress on the cover.
ALLISON -- Read a book that won or was nominated in the 2012 Goodread Choice Awards (https://www.goodreads.com/choiceaward...)
-- Read a book that has a number in the title with a series number one higher than that number.
-- Read a book that is on your "to read" shelf with the lowest GR star rating.
25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
DAY 4 -- Read a book with the word Santa in the text for 10 points! -- SARAH-JANE
DAY 5 -- Read a book with a green cover for 10 points! -- LALINE

NEW GOAL -- Read a book with a black cover.
I don't think any of our covers are black enough to count for this one so far. Drat, should have been easy.

Maybe one of you will have two characters with the same name in your book? Or a dentist? ;)
