yeah and someone left last week right? so really we're working with 9 people at this point and some teams have twice that amount! but i guess at this late stage what can you do lol

@Lexi yeah the few chapters after what i would call the 'real' end were probably the most interesting part of the book and i was like why ...did you not write a book about that instead?? it would have been way more interesting probably

yeah i was glad freud wasn't around much [unless, god forbid, he shows back up lol] because i was literally over it before it even happened

i can do the prophecy in title and lost in title ones

have you been making much progress? i read chapters 15 and 16 today so i'm about 60% of the way through. still not loving it but this section actually did make me laugh a bit because some of them were disguising themselves as nuns and they were like 'it makes men uncomfortable and can hide weapons, it's the perfect outfit' lol. they're also apparently going to introduce yet another literary character (view spoiler)[carmilla (hide spoiler)] so i'm interested to see how that goes but also it's kind of like there are too many people already.

i'm reading traitor's moon right now which is #3 in the nightrunner series. it's a longer book so i might not be done with it until the 29th or 30th but i will have it done before the end of the month. i'll check my tbr later to see if i can pick up any others

ok cool, i was wondering if we were going to need to plan to do like each set of 4 books or whatever

for the tasks we complete outside of our primary ones is it still like you have to complete all four parts of the task or is there partial credit?

re: Stark - yeah i was wondering the whole time like ...why is this dude so special??? so i'm glad there was some kind of reason beyond like 'standard male power fantasy' although honestly it was kind of too little too late

i gave it 3 stars which basically for me meant like 'would have been interesting if not so blandly sexist' but i don't think i'll be continuing onto the next one after reading the summary

i think my favorite part was towards the beginning where whoever was like 'i thought it would be more like metaphorical doors' or whatever and he was like 'no it's literally a room full of doors'

3.1 i don't know if we could use this for the SS character because Sandman Slim is just like a nickname but i guess you could ask if that's allowed?
5.4 someone dies [his friend whose name i can't remember who owns the video store dies], there is a "rescue" [they rescue some angels that people were going to sacrifice to open the gates of hell]
6.1 exclusive club [sub rosa is a general magician's club and avitas is a more exclusive one]
7.5 multiple people die [they aren't all named but he kills a lot of people lol]

oooh good point about the club task, i didn't even think about that

haha i knoooow. although honestly this seems waaaaay better than the monstrous gentlewoman one just because it's about half the length ;) [and doesn't have annoying asides]

i read up to about 67% today and i still don't really have much else to say about it. i mean ...it's not awful but it's still not particularly inspired either. it's definitely a 3 star book for me at this point and i'm not sure if i would want to bother with the rest of the series or not.

I'm trying to remember when Amandine actually shows up in the books and I can't lol I honestly have no memory of the next book and I didn't think it was in book 5 but i think it definitely happens before book 6 so ...still soon at any rate I guess

read chapters 12-14 today. uh ...still honestly not a LOT going on. diana is quickly becoming the only character i can stand because while she is definitely immature she is the only one who just DOES something without discussing it to death and the part with her and (view spoiler)[the asylum (hide spoiler)] was one of the most interesting sequences so far.

definitely agree. i like that irene is included and maybe lucinda will be interesting once she FINALLY shows up but now it's just kind of like 'second verse same as twice as long as the first' lol
