it's middle-grade-ish and there are illustrations but i would say about 2/3rds of the book at least is text so it should still be good [it's too new to have a page on arbookfind]

characters don't count i think since it's technically non-fiction but if i'm wrong about that then i can post a list of the gods it covers. B, G, and K for title/author

this is kind of a hard one to place for tasks as well since there are literally hundreds of stories in it. we've got deadly weapons on the cover, tons of people die, tons of people get rescued/protected, people attend parties, they talk about samhain at one point although idk if that counts as 'celebrating halloween', blind character [hodr], shapeshifter character [loki], hat on cover [if a crown counts as a hat], dragon in the book, riddle in the text [when talking about the sphinx], has pixies/faeries in it, bird on cover if having a bird head counts lol, many large battles, seer character [talks about cassandra in apollo section], necklace on cover if a lei counts as a necklace, has several sets of brothers in it, tons of people have babies ...sooooo if you need more details on one of these once you decide where to place it then just ask me in the main thread and i'll try to fill it in lol

i'm starting the prophecy one tomorrow - Prophecies, Libels & Dreams: Stories - and probably won't have it done til thurs night / fri morning but don't worry i'll make sure i finish it

also i'm hoping to finish European Travel for the Monstrous Gentlewoman tonight which could work for someone tries to protect someone if natalie hasn't started hers yet.

if anyone wants to read cinder for the shoe on the cover it's really good, i can't think of any other ones i've seen though

i read 17-19 today and there was a point where catherine said she mostly writes from mary's pov bc justine is too philosophical and diana is too chaotic and 'a narrative must move forward after all' i'm like lmao ok that is RICH in this 5 million page long book where nothing happens but I GUESS. also when i'm done i am literally tallying up every time they try to sell the reader the first book in the asides. absolutely infuriating. also (view spoiler)[carmilla is pretty okay and i'm glad they made her a lesbian because i was kind of worried they were going to gloss over it lol (hide spoiler)]

i don't think that would count bc it looks like a wolf silhouette but in actuality it's a house on a hill so we'd probably be pushing it at the very least lol
