35559 I'm leaning towards either The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo because I've still never read it! OR Crime Seen because I love this series....
So many possibilities!

35559 I just finished The Tiger Queens: The Women of Genghis Khantoday and it was excellent! Also The Kiss Quotient which although a fluffy read, had a good storyline & a lot of good info about autism. Everybody has some degree of mental illness, some are just better at hiding it than others...

Me too! I'm trying to finish up a few so I can have a free path in October. I normally just read spooky stories all October, so this year will be a bit different. Hopefully I can still sneak in some zombies and ghosts :)

So now...the burning question is what will your first book be and what is in your reading plan?

Maybe we can read a few of the same books after we've discovered which ones other teams have already read.... It would be so much easier if there was one screening process to see all the books for a team...

Thanks Karen! That helps a lot...I actually have read 3 or 4 of them! I still don't get the 'opera' part, but okay. I have a few on my TBR too. So now I've got all the bases covered! Yaaayyyy! I just want to start already.

35559 At the risk of sounding stupid, what the hell is a space opera? Can anyone give me an example?

***Busily & happily making lists from my TBR mountain to coincide with the TT criteria. All except the space opera genre!

Then I'll swoop into the library and look for random colorful covers when we get closer to start date. So exciting!

35559 Hi Erin! I think I probably forgot to set up my shelf. Sorry about that...
I can't do a link to save my life, but my shelf is ' nbrc-tower-teams-2019 '

I also can't utilize any spreadsheets, so I will be asking for frequent help posting my completed books! I can see the spreadsheet, but just cannot seem to post anything....

Thank you, everyone, in advance!

35559 Aloha from Hawaii! I'm Lauri & am very excited to be here! I think this is my 4th Tower Teams... I'm a serial book starter & read several books simultaneously. Sometimes this comes in handy, sometimes not so much... I will read just about anything, but my greatest love is historical fiction. I've been on a kick lately reading cozy mysteries & paranormal.... Go figure!

I work full time as an office assistant at the state hospital. Yes, that's mental hospital! Stop laughing! I'm in the medical records department & mostly handle release of information requests. I've been married for 30 years & we have 1 adult son. My grand passion is reading followed by movies & music...

I look forward to getting to know all of you & adding even more books to my staggering TBR!

Lisa, I went through maybe a 3-year-long period where I read ONLY romance novels! I made cloth book covers for them to use when I took them out of the house because the covers embarrassed me!! Now I don't care. Let people see and think I'm weird. A few months ago I found myself trying to explain the premise of the cozy mystery to a Vietnamese nail tech in a salon! She wanted to know why I was laughing at a book that had murder in the title. Her reading tastes run towards history, biography and self help. So you just never know.... 😆

35559 For our mini Christmas Challenge, please put me down for RAB with 202 - 301 pages - I have Nutshell with 208 pages.
Also Something Sweet - I have Key Lime Pie Murder which is definitely sweet. Character names will tie it in to PRESENTS....

I really enjoy the search almost, if not more, than the actual book reading part of these challenges! And, Suzanne, don't be ashamed of your reading selections! Make no apologies! How many people out there don't read anything at all?

(This is coming from someone who thoroughly enjoyed White Trash Zombie Apocalypse!! HA!!)
