I'm in for Fall of Giants even if it takes me the WHOLE time and Gideon for the BOM. Leading off with Crime Seen, Dracul (because I'll have to return it to the library soon) and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo tomorrow
This is sooo exciting! Happy reading everybody & let's hear it for vampire smut!!

I loved My Best Friend's Exorcism!! Hilarious!!
I had to post on that thread! I just could NOT resist! No 2 people ever read the same book. No need to get upset when others don't agree with you...Jane Austen? No thank you! I have tried... I almost forgot! The Grapes of Wrath -- a depressing book about the depressing depression!
Lauri here from Team Envy. I see a few of my favorite books listed here as horrible, but I don't take exception. I truly believe that no 2 people read the same book...For what it's worth, the books I hate are:
Moby-Dick, or, the Whale -- horrible run-on sentences
Things Fall Apart which I read for a RL book club
The Casual Vacancy -- no one could ever hope to live up to Harry Potter!
Sense and Sensibility -- sorry! I cannot slog through it. I think it's the language...

Wow, Sally! Very impressive!
I'm leaning towards either The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo because I've still never read it! OR Crime Seen because I love this series....So many possibilities!
I just finished The Tiger Queens: The Women of Genghis Khantoday and it was excellent! Also The Kiss Quotient which although a fluffy read, had a good storyline & a lot of good info about autism. Everybody has some degree of mental illness, some are just better at hiding it than others...
Suzanne wrote: "Somehow in my brain the challenge was starting October 1. When I actually looked last night and saw the 7th I was disappointed - I'm excited for it to start! :)"Me too! I'm trying to finish up a few so I can have a free path in October. I normally just read spooky stories all October, so this year will be a bit different. Hopefully I can still sneak in some zombies and ghosts :)
So now...the burning question is what will your first book be and what is in your reading plan?

Maybe we can read a few of the same books after we've discovered which ones other teams have already read.... It would be so much easier if there was one screening process to see all the books for a team...

Thanks Karen! That helps a lot...I actually have read 3 or 4 of them! I still don't get the 'opera' part, but okay. I have a few on my TBR too. So now I've got all the bases covered! Yaaayyyy! I just want to start already.
At the risk of sounding stupid, what the hell is a space opera? Can anyone give me an example?***Busily & happily making lists from my TBR mountain to coincide with the TT criteria. All except the space opera genre!
Then I'll swoop into the library and look for random colorful covers when we get closer to start date. So exciting!
Hi Erin! I think I probably forgot to set up my shelf. Sorry about that... I can't do a link to save my life, but my shelf is ' nbrc-tower-teams-2019 '
I also can't utilize any spreadsheets, so I will be asking for frequent help posting my completed books! I can see the spreadsheet, but just cannot seem to post anything....
Thank you, everyone, in advance!
Aloha from Hawaii! I'm Lauri & am very excited to be here! I think this is my 4th Tower Teams... I'm a serial book starter & read several books simultaneously. Sometimes this comes in handy, sometimes not so much... I will read just about anything, but my greatest love is historical fiction. I've been on a kick lately reading cozy mysteries & paranormal.... Go figure! I work full time as an office assistant at the state hospital. Yes, that's mental hospital! Stop laughing! I'm in the medical records department & mostly handle release of information requests. I've been married for 30 years & we have 1 adult son. My grand passion is reading followed by movies & music...
I look forward to getting to know all of you & adding even more books to my staggering TBR!
Lisa - (Aussie Girl) wrote: "Envy 3 here also.. willing and able... to chat!"HI Lisa & Sally! I'm eagerly waiting for Envy to open up, too... I've been stalking & creeping all day! Hello, dear Captains?
