I'm midway through my 2 blood books! I have another possibility... Is our deadline Friday or Saturday? I started a whole bunch more on Saturday that I can use/finish whenever we need them. I got a book for every letter in cauldron! Woo-hoo! I just need to settle down & read like a good little girl now. Still slogging through IT, too. I am determined to finish this year, but it won't be by Halloween...

For me, that was last night and we are just getting around to finishing Episodes. We only have one episode left and that is the end of th..."
I'm watching The Gifted right now. Concept is the X-Men have gone underground & all these mutants are coming forward. It's almost like the civil rights movement in the 60s with the mutants trying to get equal rights with humans....
Welcome, Allison Ann! Great to have you aboard....Ladies, Sookie Stackhouse is one of my very most favorite series! Guilty pleasures run deep -- I also love Stephanie Plum! I enjoy all Charlaine Harris' books & have read them all -- except Aurora Teagarden & Lily Bard. I'm working on them, too. I just got my hands on the first in her new series, An Easy Death! I'm going to start as soon as I finish this week's books. So excited!
Hi Karen! Just a thought -- maybe you could put the link to our spreadsheet in msg 2 so it would be easy to find? Even if I can't manipulate it, I still like to look at it!
I am so excited! AND I finished Down a Dark Hall and Undead and Unappreciated just this morning. Yaaayyyy!
Ha! I finished Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen yesterday & English Tea Murder today. So now I just hope to finish It before Halloween or before I die. It's like the phone book!!
Thanks so much for the recommendations, ladies! For my best books of 2018 I'd say: The Poppy War, Ready Player One, Purple Hibiscus, Dark Matter & Children of Blood and Bone
Just added All Systems Red to my TBR mountain! Hey! Could anyone participating in the Popsugar challenge please recommend a book for me? I have nothing for that one or the 'reading a book in a public place'.... No one reads books in public anymore, apparently!

Oooh! What's Murderbot? I am intrigued now... Someone convinced me to read White Trash Zombie earlier this year & it was hysterical! Keep an open mind.....
While not a particular accomplishment, I learned yesterday that the pumpkin spice milkshake is back at Jack in the Box...
I got 1) humor 2) love & 3) love of learning...Who knew?
I think choosing reads non-fiction books for fun automatically gets you a love of learning ticket...
I'd totally forgotten The Dollhouse! I was so sad that it was cancelled. Love Eliza Dushku! She was my favorite thing about Bring It On...

Lexi wrote: "I watch more TV than movies. Mine are -not in order:1. Killjoys
2. Dr. Who (I've only seen up to season 8)
3. Baking shows - esp Halloween Wars and Christmas baking shows
4. Forever
5. Firefly"
Ooh! I love Killjoys & Firefly was great. Hope they resurrect it. Loved the movie Serenity, too...
Gotta go with The Walking Dead!! Any other fans out there? Some others are Jeopardy!, The Big Bang Theory, American Housewife, the new Magnum P.I., Neighbors, Z Nation, Wynonna Earp, The Orville, Young Sheldon, XFiles.... Past favs are ALL the Bob Newhart Shows, M*A*S*H, Happy Days...
It's funny that I almost never watch TV, but I have all these favorites... I'm also a total sucker for the cheesy SyFy movies & all the Sharknados...

I cry at Braveheart every damn time! When his wife dies, at the end... But still I watch! I once missed a wedding because I'd watched Legends of the Fall the night before. My face was too messed up for me to appear in public!!
Kathleen wrote: "You should add Mamma Mia in there. The songs were such fun!"We saw both Mamma Mia movies in the theater! You just know I was singing at the top of my lungs! Totally embarrassing my husband in the process -- BONUS!
I categorically love all musicals, live and movie. I purposely didn't list any. Sound of Music would be way up there, Kathleen! When I'm sick, I like to watch Fiddler on the Roof... OMG! Flower Drum Song, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rent..... I still have some VHS tapes! Netflix is a godsend.
Movies:1) Braveheart
2) Big
3) Twister
4) Mean Girls
5) Dangerous Liaisons
6) Out of Africa
Books:
1) Clan of the Cave Bear
2) Joy Luck Club
3) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
4) The Red Tent
5) Aztec
All in no particular order! I'd like to add in all 3 original Star Wars movies and the entire Indiana Jones series .... When I'm not reading, I'm watching movies! Twister is inexplicable, but I'll watch it every time it's on. My family teases me about it. We don't have tornadoes in Hawaii.
Today's question/topic: Quick! Without deep thought -- what are your top 5 favorite books and / or movies?
