We would love to get more participants so come check out the thread!"

Sarah, I've been checking the Maze thread, but don't quite understand it. I would love to help out there, but don't know how to go about it...

35559 Dearest Captains, I just noticed that I'm down for Chamber of Secrets Task #3 - Take Polyjuice Potion - RAB with something to drink on the cover. I originally was going for CAT on the cover. I see that there is an overturned wineglass on there too, but most of the wine has spilled. If y'all think it's okay, go ahead & leave it as is, but I don't want us to get dinged for an almost empty glass.

Also please put me down for Socerer's Stone Task #4 - Devil's Snare - RAB with a predominately green cover. Elen checked Tineye for me & my book A is for Alibi qualifies!
A is for Alibi (Kinsey Millhone, #1) by Sue Grafton

I'll be finished with all my books by this weekend!

Your trip sounds like a blast, Vicki! Don't feel bad, sometimes after just one day at work I come back to our team thread & I get a headache just trying to think things through!

Right now I would say just check out the Planning Spreadsheet & see if you have books to match any tasks, especially in Book 2 - Chamber of Secrets. We have Tasks 2 & 3 covered, but need to do one more. Try I see if you can do tasks where people have already called some books. Maybe Task 5 - Fight a Basilisk because there are already 2 books in that section... But it all comes down to what you can read in a week or so.

Thanks, Elen! Tineye is one more thing I've never been able to do...🤓

35559 Going back to the title relay ideas, these are the easiest to link up titles I have in my piles:

The Ice Queen, Red Queen, Death of Yesterday, Angels' Blood, Animal Dreams, Blue Moon, Year One

Can anyone build off of any of these?

35559 I have a quick book that's green! It could go for Sorcerer's Stone Task 4 - Escape Devil's Snare.... It's A is for Alibi.

Is is green enough? Actually I should finish all my books by this weekend. I've been obsessively studying the list of tasks. I somehow love the planning almost more than the reading itself.

Please let me know if I should go for it...

Sorry, Cecily! With all my books I can't make either of yours work! What if everyone submits a shortlist & we see if anything jumps out at us?

35559 Aaannndddd.... If it's not too greedy, I can also cover Sorcerer's Stone task #5 - Mirror of Erised: RAB with a person on the cover with their hand in their pocket! I'm halfway through with Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda!

35559 I was totally confused by the whole time zone thing today! I finished all my books, but I can't do anything on the computer during work. So when I logged on, I saw all this. Yikes! Just posted everything. Let the chips fall where they may....

Triwizard Tasks
I can see the planning spreadsheet now at home, but am unable to edit it. Could someone please put me down for Chamber of Secrets #2 Wizard's Duel - RAB with witch or wizard in title: The Witch Is Dead by Shirley Damsgaard & #3 Take polyjuice potion - RAB with a cat on the cover: And Then There Were Nuns by Kylie Logan. Thanks so much!

35559 I can't access the planning spreadsheet either... I'll PM you Steven. I've never been able to use spreadsheets on GR (working on an iPad) but I'd still like to see it! I can always ask someone to add my picks. I have 113 books out from the library right now & I am ready for action!

Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews
35559 I feel sorry for Miss Livingstone! Who could ever hope to compare to the peerless Miss Sedgwick? I'm wondering now if Ariadne could be more than a little dotty?

We meet Celia Ravenscroft at last and learn that she hasn't any idea of what transpired with her parents. She was very young & most probably out of the country at the time. Or was she?

Why, oh why, would the odious Mrs. Burton- Cox expect any information from Mrs. Oliver? Love the way M. Poirot just charged right in to help...

The twists are improbable & there are some red herrings along the way, but all in all I did enjoy this & will continue on my quest to read all of Dame Agath's works...
35559 Kate is quite remarkable for her pithy quips & general unflappability. You'd think she'd be utterly devasted by the loss of the closest thing to a family she had. Instead she digs right in & gets to work! The magic work is stellar as well. I just bought into the whole concept.

Unicorn Lane was, quite frankly, terrifying! The whole encounter could've gone horribly wrong. The vampire lair was sketchy as well.

Kate is undeniably a badass. I couldn't help feeling sometimes the powers that be were setting her up for a fall...
35559 You all won't believe it, but this movie is on TV right now! I'm so excited! Worse than any child....
Love these films!
