@Claire - I did not fit The Bertrams into the new spell-out. We can either save it for the next one, or it looks like it can fit multiple tasks in the District tasks.

I did a little shuffling. We have a new Arena Hazard. For the books that I removed, I will do my best to put them back into this word.

@Patti - unfortunately we won't be able to count your participation points for The Familiar. Participation had to be done by the 2nd, one month after the start of the read. But we still do get the page points for your read!

If I can finish my 2 by tomorrow morning (a possibility), I also have a green cover that I need to read for another challenge. So we'll see who gets to it first. :)

I think in the end Snow looked at Coin and he looked at Katniss and decided Katniss was the better option, so he led her thinking to see what he saw happening. And with the speculation that Lucy Gray is Katniss’ great-aunt, he might have been swayed by that.

Just to let everyone know, the response period for the BOM points for The Familiar is now over. If you haven't finished it by yesterday, reading and responses, we can still use the book for points, just not BOM points.

The Nobleman's Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel is open until August 10. All others are open until the end of the challenge: Mockingjay, The Book That Wouldn't Burn, Funny Story.

We read enough books that we should be able to get them all at least once. And then if we want we can just keep doing one we like (once we spin it again).

@Sana - Winter Lost works for several of the tasks on the District Wheel, so I took it off the spell-out. We can always add it back later if we don't get those tasks.

Enjoy it! My main problem with a lot of the Mercy Thompson books is how much time Adam and Mercy spend apart. It was nice to see them together in this one!

Just a quick note about the mini. If you read a book for a letter, but it works for any of the tasks, we'll probably save it for when we get that set of tasks. When we get to the end, we can always go through words quickly with the available letters.

Now it says I’m at 3%. My new Kindle is acting a bit odd. This is the second time it’s been confused about the length of a book.

I started reading my book because it's over 600 pages. Imagine my surprise when I had been reading for less than 30 minutes and I was 15% through!

The book is Billionaires' Indulgence which is a collection of a series of 5 books. I thought I had the whole thing on my Kindle, but it appears this one is only the first book. And the individual books are not available on Amazon. It looks like she pulled the whole thing and this is only available in Paperback format. So I'll look for something else with livestock on the cover.

ETA: I did find something I want to read!

So for item related to district on cover, goats, sheep, cattle, horses are all livestock. So any of those would work. Also a ranch setting should work for plot element related to the district.

I have a book set on a ranch with horses on the cover. I'll put it on the spreadsheet for the plot element task, but it can be switched if anyone has something else.

Books can be banked, so on the spreadsheet please put things it works for, like # in series, author initials, setting, and possible plot elements. We'll do it like with the previous challenges where you can place it somewhere, and then next to that you can put additional possibilities.
