35559 I should finish my planet book today.

35559 It's probably discussed in the captains group, but any chance the class info breakdown will end up in the Goal FAQ? I didn't notice it linked anywhere in this thread, which makes sense since so far all we've got for sure are the Spell - It - Outs. I'm more likely to go straight to the goal spreadsheet than hunt through a thread on GR.

Oh yeah, gotcha. I didn't look past the first one because I knew I had a book to fill it.

35559 We can read and back books right? We don’t have to use them right away?

I'm the same way with war books. I think the story will be great, but I'm going to have to jump back and forth between it and something much lighter or it will leave me in a funk for day.

oh yeah! could we have each of us reserve a post at the beginning of that thread that we go back through and edit with what we are currently reading every time we finish a book? Or are there rules for that? or will we all have access to edit the spreadsheet?

Gotcha. Guess who didn't fully read the rules because they aren't a captain or co-captain and because she doesn't have internet access at home? This girl.

35559 Hmmm. Do we have a way we want to track who is reading what and for what goals/tasks? I know that even if someone is reading for a specific task and it ends up being taken by someone else, that we can use the book for another goal. But I'm an organizational freak and Cuthroat spoiled me. Are we allowed to make our own Flitwick group to work within, like the teams did in Cutthroat? Not because it needs to be secret, but because it would be easier to have sub-threads for current books being read/reporting books finished/questions/chit chat/etc? Maybe even a thread with everyone's name and a link to the time/timezone they are in since we seem to be from all over?

35559 My HP books are the original ones purchased for me by my grandmother as they came out. I received the first book for Christmas 1998, when I was in the sixth grade. I got the second and third books the day Azkaban was released in the US. The rest (a copy for me and a copy for my sister) were delivered from Amazon the days they came out. My copy of Azkaban no longer has a cover and all the dust jackets disappeared years ago.

I found this Pottermore article earlier today. I remembered that he was one of Hogwart's professors but not that Flitwick was a former dueling champion."

Filius Flitwick: Badass

35559 I’m not much a planner when it comes to reading. I have an idea of what I need to read based on other team’s challenges and books of the month.
I’m a Kindle Unlimited and Scribd user. And between the books I own and haven’t read and all the books my sister and brother in law own, I have about 400 to choose from. So I’m not worried about having to wait for Overdrive or not being able to find a book.

I take it that we are a talkative group? I chose no preference.
35559 I’ll do DQs for Flitwick

35559 Hello all. I’m Megan. Eastern time zone in the US. This will be my third Towers Team competition. When it comes to reading, I like to push my comfort zone. So, I’ll gladly read for those unpopular goals.
I read mostly mystery/crime/thrillers and historical fiction. I go for YA or romance when I’m particularly stressed out at work. I also try to always be working on a non-fiction.
By day, I am a mechanical engineer in the aerospace industry - big, big jet engines made by a company you probably thought only made cars.
