Aristotle and Dante is very hard to live up to, especially writing wise. No comparison.

2. From what I've read so far I love the references to fandoms, fanfiction and reading. A quote for the Slytherins among us: "I'm basically your resident fat Slytherin Rory Gilmore.", Do you think this describes Leah? The Rory Gilmore/daughter to a young single mother: yes. Sytheri: not too sure yet. Saying she’s a Slytherin has helped me figure out her character more.
3. I love the friendship between Simon and Leah. Did you have a friendship like theirs in high school? Nope. Big group of friends, nothing this open and honest and strong as Simon and Leah.
4. "Imagine going about your day knowing someone's carrying you in their mind. That has to be the best part of being in love - the feeling of having a home in someone else's brain. What's the best of being in love for you? Do you agree with Leah? Sure, but I don’t think I’ve been the person who was stuck on someone else’s mind like that. Or it’s just hard for me to picture myself as the person who runs through someone’s mind a lot. I don’t even run through my mind a lot.
5. Do you read fanfiction like Leah does? Or make fanart like she is making? Do you post art or pictures you make on Instagram or Tumblr? Do you maybe write fanfiction, if you do what kind and which fandom? I did back in the day, when I had time to write. Hunger Games all the way!!
6. What do you think of Leah's group of friends? Do you like them? I like the group. It is vet much like the group I hung out with in high school. Not everyone was in the same activities but they all innteeconnevted some how. Mostly through the arts and cross country.
7. Will Morgan's rejection letter break up the group of friends? What did you think of her reaction as to why she did not get in to the university? Do you agree with Leah's reaction? I agree with Leah’s reaction but I know that Morgan is hurting and trying to process rejection in a way that makes sense. And she might just be regurgitating explications from her parents. There’s no justification for saying it the way she did, but we can’t pretend there isn’t some truth to the idea that school’s desire diversity. But, big state schools have thousands of freshman students. Pin pointing one person as the reason she wasn’t chosen makes her look worse.

So every time I’ve reread it since, I’ve skipped that first chapter. I don’t want to jinx it. Anyone else have to take some time to get into the story or does no one remember that far back? Lol

Malfoy’s snobbiness is rooted in the fact that he thinks her deserves to be snobby because of who he is and where he comes from - very much on purpose and meant to keep other’s in their place. Aristocratic.

Yeah, I saw it. I was just wondering if there is a list of BR for later in the month.

I will be finishing up the Buddy Read for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone today.
Up next is the Still Me Buddy Read (book hopefully arriving today) and the The Cruel Prince Buddy Read, which has been lurking on my shelf.
I really hope to hop into the Shadow and Bone Buddy Read as well, but it's going to have to wait until I finish Cruel Prince, because I can't be reading those at the same time.
I've also got Leah on the Offbeat to try to fit in there somewhere. We have more time to finish the BOM than the BR right?
Any chance of getting a list of Buddy Reads for the next couple weeks?

I am always more emotional with audiobooks. Especially if they are read well. Sometimes being told the story gives it a level of intensity that you don't get when it's you're mind telling it to you. A different emphasis or dramatic pause can change everything.

Ready Player One is so great. Especially if you were alive in the 80s. The movie didn't do it justice at all.
