I'm reading a book that will work for M or B. I can start one that will work for A if we still need it after I finish this one.
I found a few with "Officer" in the title, but not sure if that would count. Some of the other detours would be easier for me, but I can probably figure something out for this one if we decide to do this one.
Sorry everyone! I was at work and didn't get a chance to respond. I would probably lean towards the spell it out--but I haven't had a chance to really look for any of the detour words. I agree I would struggle with the Brazilian location or authors option. Question: Can we do all the detours, or is there a limit?
And I kind of lean towards We're Bookin' It! But whatever the group decides is good for me!
Let me look real quick and see if I can find any privates or majors in my TBR. :)
Oy, its like a sickness I can't stop! Since I find it necessary to be involved in more challenges than I can possibly keep track of...sign me up please!I live in North Carolina in the States, read mostly PNR, fantasy, YA and Romance, but I should expand my reading horizons a bit so I'm up for anything.
Thanks to all our Captains for taking over so well and doing such a great job! It's been fun! See you all at the next Tower Team. :)

Discussion Questions for Chapters 1-151. What did you think of the preceding books? (i.e. Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, Fairest) I love the humor that is woven into these stories. I especially enjoy Iko's character. Excerpt from chapter 11: "I would love to give you a good-bye kiss, Captain, but that lingering embrace from His Majesty may have fried a few wires, and I'm afraid a kiss from you would melt my central processor." Do you have any favorite characters from The Lunar Chronicles?
I have enjoyed all of them, although I'm finding its been so long since I've read some of the previous books that I don't remember a lot of details. I start a lot of YA series, but I don't finish too many and I will be a little sad to see this one end. I'm a sucker for a bad boy romance so Scarlet and Wolf are my favs.
2. What are your thoughts on Winter's character so far? She cracks me up. I know she's going mad, but I also think she is exaggerating some of it to get what she wants and has learned well how to stay out of Levana's way so she's pretty smart.
3. We've been introduced to many relationships throughout the series: Cinder and Kai, Scarlet and Wolf, Cress and Thorne and now Winter and Jacin. Do you have a favorite couple? Scarlet and Wolf are my favorite (see question 1) but I'm enjoying the interaction between Winter and Jacin quite a bit.
4. In chapter 13 we see a sweet moment between Winter and some local children. They create a crown made of flowers for the princess. Jacin reacts with anger and snatches the crown from Winter's head while yelling at the children. Why do you think he acts this way? I think he is very aware of how crazy Levana is and if she would see any indication that Winter wanted the crown, it would be dangerous for her.
5. Kai is back in the Commonwealth and plans to proceed with the alliance he previously made with Queen Levana. He convinces Levana to hold the wedding on Luna. What do you think Kai and the rest of the Rampion crew have up their sleeves? I've read ahead a little, so I will decline to answer. :)

I finished A Darker Shade of Magic this morning (I'll update my BOM info when I get home) and as far as we know Kell is the only Ansari left. Would that work for the goal?
I finally finished
I did not like..."Grace, I really didn't care for that one either. Apparently we are in a very small minority! I just thought they were all ridiculous. I think I may take a break from the back room BOMs, between that one and Bound--UGH.
I'm working on finishing A Darker Shade of Magic this week and have another going on Kindle and one on audio. I have a day off tomorrow--so hoping to get some good reading time in.
I finished Red Queen. The main character winds up working for the resistance--setting up shootings, helping people escape, etc--while she is in the household of the King. I'm not sure if this would count for the spy goal, but figured I'd let someone less sleepy than me figure it out. :)

A Darker Shade of Magic DQsDay 3: Jan 4
Chapters V Black Stone – VI Thieves Meet
Q11. Lila still intrigues me. First she gives money to the beggar boy and even go after the little rat thieves that rob the boy. But then, while running she can't help herself and steal from a man that is hurt and bleeding! What do you make of her? Are you liking/understanding her? I'm really liking her. I think that she thought that Kell was drunk, not hurt, so she figured he was an easy mark. I think she's the classic tough girl with a soft heart, but she's certainly going to take care of herself first.
Q12. So the package was a trap! But from who? Holland, The Danes siblings, the Red Royals, ... Any guesses/theory? The twins maybe? Someone who wants the other two worlds in chaos apparently. I don't know that I have a feel for everyone enough to decide yet.
Q13. What do you think about Lila and Kell interaction? The 'made up Kell' strip-tease was kind of funny, if we disregard the black eyes and the will power.
Could Lila have magic on her? Will these two characters meet again later on? I think she has some magic as she's always been drawn to the pub. I'm guessing they will be working together soon.
Q14. It was just me, or this black magic is creepy?! The shell breaking and being absorbed into the cutthroat, all the things created by the stone has a taint of black, and the final part with the drunk guy, made me think that maybe the law against carrying things between worlds was very much needed still. Veerry creepy, but still not as creepy as those twins. Yikes! It looks like there was a purpose for the rule, but that like other things, got lost in the years and Kell didn't really understand the reasons behind the rule.
Q15. Ideas to where the story is going? My guess is that someone is going to have to fight the black magic, but I haven't really figured out what group of characters that will be.
I will finish In Jack's Arms in the next day or two. And I need to read the next book in the Lux series which would give us an O.
