If this sounds okay, let's start with Steward, Install and Invalid and see how those work. That gives us a variety of letters to use, but aside from the V not too many difficult ones. I may stalk some other teams SS to see what they are using as well....I can usually find them once someone else tells me they are there - just cant find them myself!
The group answer was any speaking character.
I checked with the Captains and we can use character first or last name and series as well as title, authors. Yay!

I'd say lets try for 3 longer words, then see if we can mash what's left into a few shorter words. Does that work for everyone? So far for longer we have:

Here's the board for next week's mini. Words must be at least 4 letters long. We get 5 points a letter, an extra 7 points for every word with 7 or more letters or more we complete -- so if anyone sees any longer words, post them here. Letters can be adjacent horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

We do get more points for Sin Bingo than for the mini challenge -- even if we finish a row with it. Kate, let me know what you work out. I have 5 lines filled the way I have it figured, but I also used Alexandra's book for Princess so we'd have to decide where to put that.
Kate, I have a spreadsheet set up...let me look at what you filled in and see what we can do. Save us some double work.

Okay sorry I was scattered before -- I was trying to type really fast before my friend came back from the bathroom because we have a no phones at dinner rule... But... If I move things around the way I was planning, and with the new books today, we only need Pharoh to finish horizontal line 1 on card 1 and Princess to finish horizontal line 2 on card 1. I have 2 books I'll finish tomorrow that will finish out line 4. We still need Truffles, pretty, jewels and shiny to finish out line 3. And depending on what Kate has, we may be able to wiggle some around for a random vertical line as well.
I have a spreadsheet too. :) I'm looking at trying to fill in the top three horizontal rows of Card 1. I have a book for ruby and money and was going to use the In Death book for butler for Somerset. If anyone has anything for Pharoh, that would rock.... I'll look again later after my wine wears off....
Updated to here. Right now we have 18 books read for this week. We need 30 to not lose points. I know that I have 2 more I will finish, and Kate usually pops in with 3 or 4 at the end of the week. And Laura will be working on Turf Wars starting tomorrow so.... ;)I think we can get at least a couple of lines of bingo if we work on moving words around, changing them out. So keep listing as many options as you can think of for each book.
