I think since the librarians brought it up as an option. I'll just have them add it based on what she answers. :)
Laura, the Librarians cant find a page number for Misters & Mochas either, but did say the author is pretty active on social media if you wanted to ask her.

Day 2 - Chapters 5-85. In chapter 5, we meet Professor Marguerite Belbalm who Alex has a meeting with. What do you make of their meeting? Why is she proving help for Alex? Do you think she's just being a helpful teacher or that she has a sinister reason, like wanting to use Alex for something? How do you think this will influence Alex's behaviours and choices in the book? I'm going to hope that she sees potential in Alex and is trying to help her out a bit. I figure there has to be someone normal in the story somewhere. So far it seems to be giving Alex something to look forward to.
6. Whilst Alex is looking at the crime scene of Tara 'on the other side of the intersection', she has a sense of familiarity and then remembers Helllie and Len struggling in the apartment. Len asks her to let them out. What do think happened in that situation and why did she remember it? I feel like it is something important to the story. Do you think this memory will lead to a large reveal or is it just a small and not so important memory? I think it will have some effect on the story or how Alex reacts to events or else I feel like we would have gotten more or a report or story about it so far. I do like the "let us out" part... makes me think something fishy was going on.
7. In chapter 7 we get a glimpse into Alex's past and what she had to go through to deal with the ghosts. I honestly wasn't expecting us to find out about her past until past halfway mark. She mentions a lot of issues she had to deal with like no one believeing her, kids making fun of her and ostracising her, her parents, that awful bathroom scene, her illicit drug abuse... Why do you think the Lethe society didn't reach out and help her through all that if they were watching her? I think it probably has something to do with her age and limitations in their ability to help outside of legal means. I think they had to wait until she was old enough to make her own decisions.
8. I'm interested in what you guys think of the writing style so far. We have a chapter written in the present tense with Alex and a snippit of passages from books. Then we get Darlington's POV in the past. Are you in favour of this? What do you think of the snippits and are you paying much attention to what they say? I like the way the writing is going so far, although I can see it being more annoying if it continues and interrupts the flow of the story as the action picks up. I'm reading the snippets, I don't know if the info is important, but seems to directly pertain to the chapter that follows it.

1. Our book starts out with a Prologue that leaves me understandably a bit lost and confused but wanting more, giving us minimal clues to our forthcoming story. How do you feel about Prologues? Do you ever go back and Re-read them after you finish the book?
I don't mind a prologue that gives me background or happened before the book starts, but the ones that are at the end make me a little crazy -- precisely for the confusion reason. How am I going to understand it without it being a huge spoiler? I may go back and read it, I'll have to see.
2. The setting of our story is the prestigious Ivy League school of Yale. The history runs deep and gives a gothic and dark feel to the book. Why else do you think the author may have chosen Yale as the setting?
I think the age of the setting (relatively old for the States) makes it easier to believe in the magic and secret society situation. And that's where all the money is.
3. In Chapter 1 our Main Character, Alex Stern, is running late for the Prognostication. By definition Prognostication is the action of foretelling or prophesying future events. I'm curious as to what the Bonesmen final goal is by performing these ceremonies. Although it is still early in the book are there any guesses as to what the Bonesmen are seeking? Are they after glory ? Time travel? Immortality?
Money. At least that was the impression I got from the information that was being written down.
4. The Grays ! I love ghost stories and cannot wait to learn more about the Grays. Alex not only has the ability to see the Grays but is also able to see them in color. This is important and seems to be a key feature that got her this opportunity at the school. Darlington appears to be jealous of this ability of Alex because he needs to take an elixir at a great risk to do the same. How do you see the relationship between Alex and Darlington? Will they become friends, enemies or lovers?
Right now I see it as mentor/student which always makes it challenging to me to make the transition to love interests...which is where we are going eventually, I'm sure.

Yep. Basically it runs until the end of the challenge.
Beth, we have 29 right now but I still have 2 from Victoria and Laura's that I missed to enter. and Kate usually pops in with a few on Sunday, so we are above our 80% goal. So you can wait for next week if you want or finish if you cant wait to get to the end. :)
Alexandra I can look at them when I get home from work. I know for the second BOM we got your questions. but I was waiting to hear that you had completed it, so that one hasn't been added yet.
Victoria wrote: "also, I was chosen for DQs for Ninth House"Ugh! I really want to read this one, but I'm 115th in the library list. I might have to break down and buy this one.
We have an 18 and a 28 in the TA list, and I have a 26 to finish. Does anyone have any others between those numbers, or should I go ahead and add them to the list?

Nice Alexandra!!
Alexandra, our extra list has a 13 and I'm finishing a 15 today which will get us another 10 points. I'm not sure we can get another 3 in order done, so regular category points work just as well. I'd say read what you want. :)
Beth wrote: "I see some books I literally JUST bought this past weekend! And some old favorites I may re-read as well."I've got a list of like 15 books from that list already-- I'm just sad I won't have time to get them all done!
