I looked too and didnt see anything. Book 8 is on the extra list, so that can be finished at any time. My 13 is due Saturday for another challenge as well. If we dont hear from her today, we can always just skip that number and we can use her book for regular Bingo instead.
Here's where we stand: Laura: 1-4 -- done
Victoria: 5 -- done
Beth: 6 -- done
Alexandra: 7 -- done
TA: 8
Victoria: 9 -- done
Beth 10 -- done
Alexandra: 11
TA: 13
Stacey: 15
Victoria: 19
Stacey: 26?
Victoria: 27?
TA: 28
Laura, you are off the hook for book 5. Alexandra is next up once Beth finishes.
Alexandra wrote: "I don’t see anyone taking 11-15 so I can do 7 and 11. I don’t want to do too many more as that will put me over my weekly too much."Sounds good! Thanks!
Beth wrote: "I found a #10 that is only 110 pages so I can do that .So I have 6, maybe 8, and 10"
Beth, the TA list has both an 8 and a 10 so if you want to stick with just one of those, we can cover the other.
Thanks you all for organizing. Here's what I think we have:Laura: 1-5
Victoria: 5?
Beth: 6
Alexandra: 7
Beth or TA 8
Victoria: 9
Beth or TA 10
Alexandra: 11
TA: 13
Stacey: 15
Victoria: 19
Stacey: 26?
Victoria: 27?
TA: 28
Check in is at 3 pm, so technically that's when the new week and new mini start. We can also pull a 7 or 8 from the TA list (Travel Agent...I'm getting tired of typing that out...we should come up with a code name....). And we can skip numbers if we want, it doesnt have to be consecutive - but then you get to higher numbers faster.

It's a cool 3031 pages. :P"

I don't know if I could do that much historical Christmas in a row. I'd probably get it done by the end of the challenge, but probably not much else!
Victoria wrote: "I won't have time to read another book before the weeks end. Also, how exactly does the Travel Agent work? Feel like I missed something...
And where does our team keep disappearing to?"
There's an ongoing Travel around the World challenge here that basically has its own bookshelf. I don't remember the particulars as I haven't done the challenge in a few years, but the shelf has ~250 book on it we can choose from to use to get us up to at least 80%.
I'm sad we keep losing people. :(
Laura wrote: "I was going to start an L next! No worries. The MC is named Emma."We still need an L for Install. :)
Updated to here, along with books I'm expecting tomorrow. I am working and Kate is traveling tomorrow, so we will have limited ability to update except for me during lunch a bit unless Vicky is around, but we haven't heard from her about this week's check in yet. I'm going to fill in for the rest of Install from the Travel Agent tomorrow morning. I would say lets try Rewarder as we seem to be running into a lot of Ws and not so many Es and Ls?
Updated to here. We are currently at 15 books. We need 28 to make 80% but...We contacted the Mods this week about the fact that we seem to have lost Dale. We have PMed her, but not heard back so hopefully life just got a little crazy and nothing serious is going on. She had signed up to read 10 books/week which puts us pretty far behind hitting our goal. The Mods have agreed to let us use the Travel Agent to make up the difference -- both for the regular challenge and for mini challenges. We can choose whichever books we would like to use.
We have been averaging about 35 books/week. My thoughts are to see how well we do on our own and then add in extra books as needed to get to around that number or to finish up a mini challenge. Does that sound okay to everyone?
Beth wrote: "Okay so this is like a relay race in a way, right? Once Victoria finishes her #5 I can start my #6 but not before?"You can start your book before #5 gets finished -- you just can't finish it until after she is done.
So far we have:Laura: 1-5
Victoria: 5 (I think both of you read for 5 and whoever gets done first we'll use)
Beth: 6 -- works well after the above
Victoria: 9 (if you want to read that one)
Stacey: 15 (I won't be done until close to the end of the week with this one)
Beth wrote: "Unfortunately I'm definitely not going to be hitting my book goal this week. I have a friend in town so I haven't been reading nearly as much.I'm super behind on the BOTM but as long as I get my ..."
As long as the book is done and answers completed within 30 days it will count. I'm starting The Chestnut Man this week.

Here's next week's mini challenge for Gluttony:For this mini-challenge, your team is going to try to read higher and higher numbers in series. In other words, you're going to build a ladder of books from series, starting with the lowest and going as high as you can get.
However, they need to be finished consecutively. #3 cannot be finished before #1, and #10 cannot be finished before #6. You may skip numbers on your way up, but you cannot read for a number that is lower than the one that has been read previously. The ladder only goes up, not down.
◈ You will gain 5 points per book in the ladder.
◈ As each ladder gains 3 rungs you will receive a bonus 10 points.
Do we each want to take a number and just not finish until the person before us? Also, these are optional-- so we could just read for a week and concentrate on bingos.
Hey, if anyone is in the Christmas mood, apparently a bunch of people on other teams are reading this: Once Upon a Christmas Wedding
It's a cool 3031 pages. :P
