Basically, the game is divided into two week rounds where one team plays against another team. Each team is divided into different playing positions, so you are either a Beater, a Chaser, a Seeker or a Keeper.

The are 2 Beaters on every team and they choose a list from listopia and can only read books from that list during the round - there are a set number of lists you can choose from, so I am Beater this round and me and the other Beater can only read from the list we chose, which was 'Best Book Boyfriends'. Every book a Beater reads earns 1 point

There are 3 Chasers on every team and they also chose a Listopia list, but it has to be different from the Beaters list. Every book a Chaser reads earns 1 point.

There is one Seeker on every team and they can only read books with a cover colour that is nominated before the rounds start. This coming round it is Red, so our Seeker can only read red covered books. Every book a Seeker reads is worth 2 points

There is one Keeper on every team. Keepers can only read books that the opposing team has nominated to read. So as a Beater I would post that I was planning to read Ugly Love. The Keeper from the opposing team could then read that book. If they read it, there team would gain a point and my team would lose the point I gained for reading it.

After two weeks, the team with the most points progresses to the next round and the losing team is eliminated from the game.

Does that make it any clearer, or is it still confusing?

Yeah, it took me a bit to get the Quidditch rules, but now I have played a round it seems really simple. It's actually a lot of fun competing against another team to try and knock them out... Or maybe that's just my competitiveness coming out :)

Hi ladies, I have been incommunicado for the last day or so on a game reserve. Got to see elephants, lions, giraffes and best of all cheetahs. It's a cheetah conservation reserve so we were able to get right up close. They really are quite beautiful.

Anyway, in my absence I was sorted into Hufflepuff which I am really happy about because that is the house I have been playing Quidditch for for the last couple of weeks as a ring in. Now we just have to see where ST gets sorted :)

Have you left yet ST?

Oh and further to my edited post from before, I think we can still get sorted up until the 30th June, but after that I'm not sure. I can't getsorted until after Quidditch since I am already playing for a house in that challenge and was waiting for it to finish to get officially sorted.

Ahhh, Sun City, they must be a group interested in casinos?

SA has been great so far. Wine tasting was great as they tend to do it paired with some kind of food. We did one wine tasting paired with chocolate, which was fun.

Tomorrow we head out for an overnight stay at a game reserve, so I am hoping to see some lions and elephants :)

I signed up for clue but there may not be room, I guess we shall see. If not, the new NBRC group challenge coming up should keep me busy!

Oh, and I saw you mention in your thread the sorting ceremony. The mods have decided to revisit the Hogwarts theme and the are going to spend until September revamping everything, so after June 1st they are moving to a summer semester whole they sort it all out - I asked what is happening for those of us not sorted and they said they would get back to me.

Would you be heavy or casual?

Are you signing up V? I am interested, and if we could get on the same team that would be nice :)

Ok, jet lag sucks big time! I nearly fell asleep in my dinner last night at 6 PM I was so exhausted and now I am wide awake at 5 am - although that's an improvement from 4 am yesterday. It's been so long since I travelled this far from Oz, I had forgotten what it is like. It's a great way to diet though as I have completely lost my appetite (which is a rare thing for me!) - Nathan had to finish most of my food last night, which was quite sad since it was sooooo yummy.

Wine is cheap as chips here, it costs the same amount for a bottle of wine at a restaurant in SA as it does for a glass of wine at a restaurant back home! That makes Emma a very happy girl :)

Yay, notifications are back. Phew, I though it was just me - I can't believe how lost I was without them!

I think I will do as V and ST and wait until The third Never Never book comes out - I don't think I can deal with the suspense.

It is weird when you stop playing a group challenge and the problem is I find myself wanting to read a book but thinking to myself that maybe I shouldn't because it might be useful for the next group challenge I am in!

It has been fun Greta. I unfortunately had little time the last two weeks as well.

We will head to to one of the game reserves and hopefully see them there. Personally, I want to see the big cats the most in the wild :)
