Hey, are any of you ladies in the group A Million More Pages (AMMP)?I ask, because a) it is awesome, especially if you like team challenges, as they have an ongoing team challenge ( based on Harry Potter houses) you can join if you want.
b) they have a side challenge with its own group page called The Amazing Race that you play with a partner against other teams and I am looking for a partner to play with and thought I would see if any of you girls would be interested. They are waiting for some more sign ups before they start the next round.
If you aren't a member but would like to play, let me know and I can invite you to the group

I've just checked the spreadsheet and we have ALMOND for week 6!This means we will need a brown cover for next week :)
I listened to it on Audible and really quite liked it. I didn't know much about it before reading it because I read it purely to fulfil a task in another challenge, so I was happy to find the storyline quite interesting and unique and I am really glad to have read it. Saying that I probably won't read the next in the series, but I think Ender's Game is definitely worth a try.

Yeah, I haven't requested an audiobook to review in a couple of weeks as I still have one left and a multitude of ones that I have bought to listen to, so thought I would take a break for a bit - although I have only requested a few I do start to feel pressured to listen to them quickly.
I totally agree Kristin, Iniquity needs to come out soon. I loved Under Different Stars as well, even though the storyline was sort of similar to Inescapable, but sci instead of PNR!
V, I have just noticed that you have added
. I want to give you a warning that this is an awful series.. just awful. I would hate for you to get a further bad opinion of PNR by reading that crap. Although if you want to see for yourself, I totally understand, but I just wanted to warn you. A series very similar in nature to Fallen but so much better (although, believe me, it still has it own issues) is
. I remember thinking when I read it that Inescapable was what Fallen should have been.

I have Elizabeth Is Missing on Audible as well if you guys end up doing a buddy read. I also have Always You that I have to listen to and after what you guys have said I am absolutely dreading it!!
I forget to check last week, so what was everyone's favourite books for the last two weeks.I ended up loving The Invention of Wings. I listened to it on audible and both the narrators for the two female POV were exceptional. The fact that it was based around the true life story made it even more interesting. Best of all, the author wrote a section at the end of the novel discussing what aspects of the book were fictionalised and what were not, which I enjoyed. Thanks again to Srividya for recommending it.
The other novel that gets a special mention is The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender which took me by surprise. It fits into the genre of magical realism which I have never had an interest in and didn't think I would like, but wow was I surprised. The writing was absolutely beautiful it was mesmerising. The title alone is quite beautiful and reflects the writing through the whole novel. It seems to be classed as a YA book but I would be very hesitant to classify it as such. If you don't generally read YA, don't let that put you off this book if it is one you think you might like.
Excellent, I'll go and report we are verified for week 4. We did well this week ending on 425 points!
Go Team Jasper!!!!!

Thanks for getting back to me Srividya :) it was still Apricot by Aussie time when I was doing the checks. I did manage to fit it into the spreadsheet for Apricot as the author's last name began with A. Did you particularly want it included in Mulberry or are you happy for it to remain in Apricot?
Greta, I have just been conducting the final checks before submitting our results and I have noticed that The Colour of Magic is listed in your shelf as completed on the 11th April, which is the day before we started Apricot. Could you change that for me as I am assuming it is supposed to say the 12th :)Srividya, I noticed you have listed on your shelf The Gamble as finished today, so I have included it as well - please let me know if this isn't the case :)
