35559 also I can get A Beginning at the End by Mike Chen now and would be down for it!

I really want to do Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows by Balli Kaur Jaswal when we can! My library is saying 6 weeks from now for me lol.
35559 These look great! The ones I can get my hands on now or within two weeks that look the best are

The Lost Book of Adana Moreau by Michael Zapata (would be the longest wait for me-2 weeks- but I think it's my preferred read!)
Curious Toys by Elizabeth Hand
Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky
The Revisionaries by A.R. Moxon
The Pursuit of William Abbey by Claire North

Two other really intrigue me but I can't get them for months!:

35559 I'm very frugal, and most of my book reading comes from libraries. I occassionally buy books depending on if I'm on a spending spree or not, but I no longer have the space! I need to get another bookshelf soon.

As for a space to read, I no longer have a designated spot except my bed. I'll listen to audiobooks anywhere, and I rent a room from a family and I've been giving them some space due to COVID, so I'm usually stuck in my room these days with books on my computer. I also hook my phone up to my speaker and I'll listen to an audiobook in the shower if I'm really into it. I used to do that with music but these days I've found some good audiobooks.

When I was a kid I loved finding hideaways to read! Tree branches were some of my favorites too! I also had a bay window with a large window sill, so I'd put blankets and pillows and camp out there with the curtains closed so I was hidden. It was amazing.

35559 I'd love to join a team! Question is who to PM... lol

If you want to recruit me I did seeker for a quidditch match and loved it. I also enjoy reserves but could try any position. I just need a chunk of time to finish a book and then I'm good. Can finish a romance in 3 hours. I have access to 3 e-libraries.
35559 Jenny go for it! I'm new to joining so it doesn't feel like it should be my turn, haha!
35559 Can’t join valentine due to an extremely long library hold list but you guys enjoy!
35559 It might not come in that early for me either, library says 3 weeks estimated. We can’t push back the start date a week, correct?
35559 I'm in! Can also do DQs for the last day if I get my book in time.

update: Got my book!
35559 Jenny, that's exactly how I felt about everything when I read it.

Laura, I'm glad you're finally getting to it! I miss doing Buddy reads with you!

My library doesn't have The Mercies available for a while, so if there's another one you guys want to do soon, let me know!
35559 I read this in 2016 or 17 and loved it! I was very intrigued by the story and the writing style and the thoughts/actions/decisions of the characters. It's very much unlike my life and I loved getting to experience something completely different through Polly's eyes. This is a book I highly recommend, one that stayed with me.

35559 I kind of want to try this. I often give up on these challenges because I forget what I sign up for but I'm going to try to remember!

Not sure what level I'm going for, but we'll see how what I read fits.

35559 Reserving a spot!

My goal is 10 books from 2016 or earlier. A lot of them are Christian non-fiction, mostly by CS Lewis, which take me longer and I'm less inclined to read.

1. Renegades - read Nov 2020, added 2016
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

35559 Just finished this book today. I read it for the first time several years ago, and for a while I always thought it was my favorite.

The adventure and suspense goes for the whole book. There are several twists and turns; some I'm not sure I find believable, but Rowling does a great job of spinning them into the story to make everything fit.

I love the friendship between Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs that mostly only deepens as they age and mature. Those friendships are few and far between.

A Five star read again. Good stuff!

35559 I have a couple of books to add but not many I think. I’ll update today.

35559 I'll check out the leaky cauldron chat.

Thanks everyone! I found the books so I'll post them. I don't really want them on my profile so I'll add them and then see if I can hide them.

Too much sex and inappropriate discussions. The group is for 18 and over so they mentioned that at the start of the challenge.

35559 Hi All

I've been in a reading rut too. I got slammed with work and personal stuff so I haven't had much time.

I'm finishing Guilt by Association (A Rachel Knight Novel) by Marcia Clark today and will post the completion later.
I read 3 romance books last week but I returned them and can't for the life of me remember who wrote them or what they were called or anything! And my overdrive wasn't recording my history.
Honestly they weren't that great so it's no big deal. But they could have been more points.

Edit: Found them but they're inappropriate for this game so nevermind. Whoops.

Alison, hopefully they'll fix the bugs! Did you send in a complaint to the app make or whomever? Not sure if they're aware of the problem yet.

35559 If anyone wants a good audiobook where the narrator is nice to listen to, check out Her Nightly Embrace (Ravi PI #1) by Adi Tantimedh
The guy on the front cover narrates it and he has a British accent. Lord have mercy, I could listen to him all day long!

35559 yep quidditch game 3 is officially cancelled for the Tri Wizard tournament intricacies. Sorry Melissa!
