Updating the sheet with my reads."Convaxulations!

I've switched to just adding books when I finish because sometimes I'm wrong about how quickly I'll read a book (Looking at you,
, which I meant to read on Saturday but I put down everytime someone gets tortured, assaulted, or knocked out, so it's going very slowly.)

Finished short book --
The Gardner Museum Heist and added to spreadsheet.

I watched Bridgerton with my college age son and we really like it but he was shocked by some of the consent issues (he was furious about

Finished
Faithless in Death and updated spreadsheet.

OK, so I will remember to add books to my TT list (oops). And then I list them in the spreadsheet (with all the tasks/bingos/mysterious-other-thing that the work for), and then mention that I did that here?
And if I'm far from home and adding things remotely I can skip the spreadsheet and mention it here, with a note that I can't get to the spreadsheet? In the latter case probably with a shorter list of what it works for since that is harder to do remotely...
Is that the Way of the Luggage?

One of the tasks is to read something recommended from another team. And it's fun, so teams are doing it very enthusiastically!

Captains -- would it be helpful to list the books with a hyperlink so you know just one we read?

I read that and really liked the history aspects -- lots about printing and beekeeping, while the romance chugged along on a slow burn. So when they actually hit the sex scenes I was almost surprised -- oh yeah, this is an ROMANCE.

I just read
The Assassination of John F. Kennedy
which was given to me for review as part of a high school reading award. It's short -- 112 pages, and when I looked at the publisher page I think it's officially aimed at 8th graders. It's brand new and from a small publisher, so there's nothing on the main page.
Assuming the book qualifies, I looked over all the tasks and listed the ones that would fit, and then did the same for BINGO (which I find a bit confusing) and then stared blankly at the Jackanory tab because I have no idea about that one. Am I doing this right?
Deanna wrote: "Finished

Huh? I came back to see that we had a spreadsheet wizard. Please don't go!
☘Misericordia☘ wrote: "Deanna wrote: "Yes, the co-captains and I will be shading the tasks." Why would anyone want to do that manually? I'll just automate it."Well, if I'm looking around for something to pick, I'm right there!

Off to the races!

As a team, we can only do each task once, right? Maybe we should mark that on the spreadsheet, since it's a bit overwhelming. It's already hard to see what everyone has picked, and I have visions of myself duplicating all my tasks but a week behind...
So, color a square in with a light color when you pick a book for it, and then with a darker color when you finish the book. Would that be OK?

So, Saturday is the start? I should finish up the pile of currently-reading so that I can start fresh. And check the tasks lists to see where things would start. Ready to go!
OK, I think I will start with
which is a First In Series.

I just picked up The Foundling and I think I have Equal Rites on my shelves. I will try to nerve myself to volunteer for questions.

Ah, I just found out Team Sheet, which makes this a lot clearer.

So, in the Discworld tasks -- the team works on them together? So there are 6 tasks for Rincewind, and six of us could each read a book that matches one of those tasks, and the team gets the Rincewind points?
(I feel like I can't recommend anything since I don't know what I'm doing. I mean,
Network Effect and
The Blue Castle are both great books!)

I also admit I'm a bit confused as to the tasks -- each team can only do one? So we have to claim them?
I'm also vague as to what the story looks like. But I ordered the BOMs from the library so I'll be ready there.
