OK, everyone else who has banked books, time to load them up!

I went and peeked at other teams, and several have received a new card today, so it's just us! Help, moderators!

Now we are up to nine X3 bonuses. If they let us have them all I will forgive the time delay :-)
Seriously, it's hard to keep momentum when we don't have a sheet. :-(

Wow, we sure broke that spreadsheet. That must have been a really big shark! Hope we get our categories soon.

Well, I peeked at the spreadsheet and I don't mind if we get all those X3 bonuses when it finally works. 2X3X3X3X3X3X3X3 is a respectable pile of points :0

Try Carmen's book. It's more points anyway :-)
Is Lindsay's non-pregnant state a plot point?

It's wobble and done, right? Did I mess up recording something?

Is the 6th Target longer? I like points. :-)

We'll lose some points because it's only 200-something pages instead of 300+ like Nancy's, but unless someone has something quick I say let's use it.
Of course, now I've got nothing in the bank for the next word. I feel like a slacker.

Ack, we need a new Not pregnant book. Anybody got something?
My book Eidolon has the fact that the main couple are infertile together as a major plot point -- maybe that would work?

I like Sheila's idea. With lots of banked books we can hope to get lucky and do the next few patterns quickly. And then at the end we just try to stuff everything in.

The bonus for this one is to swap a square, so if anyone is feeling blue that they haven't gotten to fit a square yet, when we get the new square maybe you can use that to make sure you fit in the pattern? Or the bonus to make any square a "free square" that any book fits in.
We still want to do:
Pyramid
Tree
Field Goal
Love Letter,
and we only have a week left!

They decided to give it another week because they thought 2 weeks would be too cramped, that's why the discrepancy.
Touching My Father's Soul: A Sherpa's Journey to the Top of Everest by Jamling Tenzing Norgay
Hardcover, 336 pages
Finished: 8/31
5 Stars
Book published in 2001

OK, it's done.
Touching My Father's Soul: A Sherpa's Journey to the Top of Everest That was a fascinating book -- the story of the 1996 Everest season, the one with all the disasters, by the son of Tenzing Norgay, who on the team that first summitted. The author was with the IMAX movie team, and he made it up and back safely after the storms and such described in
Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mount Everest Disaster.
He describes the experience as a way to reconnect with his dad and with his family's religion, as well as giving an amazing description of the dangers and glories of the climb. Very glad this Bingo card made me pick it up!

I'm set to finish my 2001 book tonight (maybe an hour left? unless i get distracted. But definitely tonight). I'll check before I start the last chapter to make sure no one else grabbed the square; if so I'll pre-bank the book by leaving the last chapter until we need it.
I don't think anyone needs to apologize -- we're all Tapir Proud!

Woot! All we've got left is a 2001 book and a current BOM book.
BOM books are:
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens AgendaThe Watchmaker of Filigree StreetA Kiss from Mr FitzgeraldThe Kitchen HousePlethora is working on something and I've started a 2001 book, but anyone is free to finish early and steal the square!
Do we want to put in the extra books or bank them? *Can* we put in extra books? I'm a bit fuzzy on the rules still.
Beholding Bee by Kimberly Fusco
Read: 8/30/16
Rating: 3 stars
Kindle: 336 pages.
I read it for the "B" square.

I finished my B book and I'll start reading a 2001, although if anyone else has one feel free to jump in.
I was eyeing
Kushiel's Dart which I have to read by October, because it's 900 pages and that's a lot of points, but I think we are hoping to be done pretty soon so maybe not. I was supposed to read
Shiksa Goddess for a book club but my copy was delayed so maybe I'll get that done.

I've been lining up books, but I was hoping to see what squares were grabbed. I'll read just about anything:
B square:
Beholding Bee2001: Kushiel's Dart (900 pages, so lots of points but probably my only book)
2009:
PositivelyI think I'll start the B one and if I finish fast look back. I like the double-B nature of it.
