I love Lindsay Buroker, and she's self-published. Let me dig up her titles:

I fixed my Game of Cages -- it was a reread and it was hard to fix the dates on my phone. Should be right now!

I finished game of cages so my horror book is done. I will update the spreadsheet when I get home.

Then my book works! Erin's is done, so if bonus 13 finishes before bonus 15 swap 'em and turn in 13. I'll work on mine so we can turn in both ASAP.

What does main page horror mean? That you can see horror listed in the genres on the main page, or that the description says it is horror? My book has 14 horror tags, but horror is not its top description. It does show up on the first page.

I just wasn't sure if Erin & my horror books were interchangable. Depending on whether Moonlight finished the Riordan book or someone finishes a scientist book than the horror book would help complete a challenge.

Looks like we've got most of the new bonus done. Let's Nancy's "The Widow" for "Fire From Heaven" in the title chain in Bonus 12. (Looks we we have lots of crime books)

I like using The Widow because it's the oldest banked book.

Paula, how is your book #8 coming along? You and Moonlight are racing to finish Bonus 8.

I'm 2/3 done with my horror book. I'll finish it while donating blood this morning. Then I'll either start a scientist book or a #8. Or a book starting with "Hell"

So for the bonuses, we substitute Nancy's "The Widow" for "Fire From Heaven" in the title chain in Bonus 12, and ask for an extra bonus. That leaves one hidden bonus.

Any reasons not to do this? And anyone think they have a book starting with "Hell" done in the next few days? You are racing Carmen, and you get a head start :-)

We're ready to turn in Bonus 14, and I hope to have my book for 13 done tonight or by tomorrow morning. Moonlight is probably ahead of me, or maybe Paula will finish her #8 book first. I think we can squeeze in a few more bonuses before the end!

We are too nice -- we're all hesitant to grab spots out from under each other. I think we can agree that in the last few days it is completely acceptable! And always acceptable for books that haven't been started.

I'd better go work on my horror book, but it's a long one so if anyone else has one feel free to grab that spot! Then I could find a super-easy cat book and gobble that up.

I think it can't be hard to find a cat book, so we should put a free book in for "Fire From Heaven" because Plethora is already reading something before she can get to that.

Carmen is in the same position with her two, but she said she was almost done, and anyway it's much easier for someone to grab a book starting with "Hell" to help her out than for someone to find a random book that starts with "Fire" and ends with "Heaven". Remember that bonus saying we can ignore "A" or "The" for your Hell book!

Then we ask for 3. "Add a bonus" and get two more bonuses today.

So, everyone wishing they had something to read -- anything with a cat, owl or toad on cover, or with word "HEAD" or people wrestling on cover?

I snuck off to read my Laff-a-lympics book but I'm hoping to finish my next horror book today or early tomorrow. I have a son turning 18 today so we have to do some adult things, like eat cake!

I just realized that the recent completions meant that we finished all the Labors! Go Team Tapirs! We are awesome!

Off to read my bonus books...

I was just glaring at the screen because I have a Riordan out from the library but my youngest left it at his dad's house and now it's overdue so I can't read it! So I should have had something and I don't and I'm glad you've got it.

And I can't sneak in one of my Daisy Dalrymple's because I've already done #7, none of the titles have "Head" or wrestling, and they are cosy mysteries -- about as far from horror as they get (which is why I'm liking them!).

Maybe after I finish Child of Fire I'll go on to the next in the series, which has some horror tags. I like that author too.

All yours Paula. I just saw your comment ("if no one else can") and thought maybe you were dreading that book!

Paula, (I keep typing Paulos, because that's my son's name), are you still on for Series #8 for Bonus 8? Because the series I just found is like candy, so I could read another one while reading my Child of Fire.

If you had any book starting with Hell (or starting with Heaven and ending with Hell), you could then take one of Carmen's books for Bonus 12. That would mean us finishing both Bonus 8 and 12 probably in time to fit in another one.

But I'll wait to hear from you before making the switch.

It's crazy how it works out, isn't it? Wild and Magic seemed like the easiest things in the world to match, and yet Fire wins the day.

Anyone got a book starting with Hell? That would give us

I've got some but Child of Fire will take two days to finish, probably.

(I'm starting my #7 book, Carmen, so bird away! And I put a hold on #12 at the library, or maybe I'll (gasp!) buy it)
