This heat is insane! I live in the DC area, and we've had a heat index of 110 the past couple weeks. I'm training for a marathon so i have to get up at 5am on Saturdays to do my long runs, ugh.

That's a good idea! I can start on Harmony Black when I'm done with my current book. I also have Girl in the Blue Coat on hold at the library but not sure how quickly that'll get to me.

Wow, this is super helpful! Won't waste time with J's and Z's :)

I'm reading Bring Up the Bodies, which lists Henry Norris in the "cast of characters" (wish all books had this!), but I'm early into it and have a kinda crazy week this week, so I don't know how long it'll take me. So feel free to put me as a placeholder but anyone else can jump in!

Love LIane Moriarty! What Alice Forgot was my absolute favorite, have you read that?

We completed our first word and I spun again and magically we were given the same word. Its all filled in except for "n". I 've asked Karen for a list of characters in h..."
There is in fact an "n" character in The Last Girl - Newton!
Also, if this is still needed, the word "blue" appears on p. 34 - "all wearing pale blue shirts"

Just search the book title in Google, and click on "Books" under the "More" tab. As long as the book comes up with the option to preview, you can search for specific words. Amazon's option to "Look Inside" also lets you search for specific words (although sometimes it gets wonky and doesn't return words I know are there.)
Either way, it's much easier than having to flip through your book to find words!
Based on the challenge description, the word has to be used as a color, so I don't think a character named Blue would work for that sort of thing, but I did a quick search of all the books I have in cue, and literally all of them had "blue" in there somewhere, so I imagine nearly any book we pick for the letters will work for the bonus. (purple and orange were the only colors that caused problems)
Unrelated - I should finish Trapped really soon, for one more arm!

Ok well I'll defer to you on strategy, I've never done a WAT before!
I also wanted to double check what our bonus actually is. Based on the options of bonuses, "Color found in text" sounds like somewhere in the book "blue" has to be mentioned, not that the lettering on the cover would be blue. Otherwise it would have been "text on cover with colour", right?

There are only 7 letters in our first wor..."
But wouldn't it be the fastest to use banked books right away? (assuming there are ones available that fit those letters) That way you don't even need to wait for people to read new books, just drop them right in.
