2 hour sprint finished! That was really useful, I'm now soooo close to finishing The Twelve! Will hopefully get that done tonight or first thing tomorrow.

Ok that works, I'll do the 2 hour sprint when Maritza is done.

I can do one of the sprints! I'll have a good chunk of time either tomorrow night or Sunday afternoon (eastern time)

Enjoying The Twelve so far, it's just reallllly long!

Great Charlie! We can play it by ear, if I finish the Twelve quickly I'll start on the Opening Belle (with the full person on cover), but if you finish before me its all yours!

Finished Through the Heart of the Spider for the page jumping (heat 1, leg 2 - 237 pages) and on to The Twelve! This one is quite long and today is a travel day so I'm not sure how long it'll take me to get through. So Charlie could also grab a book to take over my second task (full person on the cover) if she wants!

Yay! So excited to get started on the next legs!

To make sure i understand this correctly, in the sprints, the fighters can read any book but the coaches have to read a fighting related book? Or do both have to read a fighting related book? I'm happy to pick up one of the sprints if the former, but I'm not sure I have any fighting books so i may not be the best coach.

And concur, thanks captains for managing all of this! Very impressed with all of you :)

Ok, for upcoming events, I can read for the page number part of the Book into the Distance event, but I don't have anything on-hand with those words in the title or with an arm on the cover (although if we get desperate I can see what I can dig out of my parents' library).

I peeked ahead at some of the other events, and I have a bunch that will work for the Equestrian event:
The Twelve - for part 4, has 12 in the title
- open landscape
- full person on cover (is it ok if they're cartoony?
- for the team colors, mostly blue
- for team colors, mostly black
- might work for the animal, has a dog on the cover

Anyway, definitely not claiming all those now or anything, just wanted to put that out there!

Let me know also if you need me to jump in on any of the page number legs, I can certainly contribute more to that if needed!

Ok, going to go be social with my parents for a bit :)

Finished Daughter of Destiny, so that should wrap up Heat 1, Leg 1!

My kindle tells me it should take 2 hours to read Star Sand, so if that's accurate I should get through that tomorrow.

Hi Laura, sorry I'm way behind in getting this but both the books I finished yesterday were already shelved so hopefully they populated correctly eventually

About to leave for the airport, just finished The Last Girl - for a bonus YA task (F4). I'll check back in once I'm there and start working on my two (so far!) relay books once the Olympics have begun!
