35559 Done with Glass Sword! (Full completion post here)

So that takes care of one book for task G8, and it has 440 pages so I believe that's 4 points?

Laura, I liked it but didn't love it. The ending was great and exciting but I felt like the whole recruitment chunk of the book dragged a bit. It also reminded me way too much of the XMen movie! But the ending was great, and I'm definitely excited for the next one!

35559 Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA this weekend, ended up being quite busy. But I did get some reading done and hopefully will finish Glass Sword by the end of the night (tomorrow morning at the latest) as long as I can get through it before GoT tonight!

Oh great!! That makes this a bit more manageable then :)

Thanks Amanda! One question (ok probably more eventually, but one for now) - does every member need to read one book for a task for every set of tasks we get? So we need to go through this sorting out again on Monday?

Nice Cecily! I'm trying to sneak some reading in at work, it's a slow day today, but nowhere near that far yet. :)

Should be able to finish Glass Sword by tomorrow though!

I don't think it matters who picks what square, the tasks are for all to jump in wherever we can. Again, I'm not positive on the rules for what counts as each person fulfilling a task, but my hunch is that you need to be one of the primary two and not a bonus reader.

We need 2 people to read for each task, so Jennifer, you can pick a book that fits any of these:

F6 -starts with a vowel
D4- 5th in series
G7-read a book written by GR author
C4- 2 or more people, same name author
B9-audio book narrated by a man

Marguerite, I'm not positive, but I think the problem is that the two books you're claiming already have 2 people on them, so while you can get bonus points, it won't count as a task and everyone needs to contribute to the tasks. (Captains correct me if I'm wrong!) Maybe the work-around is to have Rachel be the bonus person for J9, since she already has a book for another task?

35559 Could one of the captains/co-captains put our list of tasks and which ones are claimed in one of the reserve spots on the first page? That way we don't have to scroll through all the new posts to find the last time it popped up.

Two people need to read for each task, so we can both do it!

35559 Ooh, I'll take #2 in a series, I just got Glass Sword from the library (it will also work for top 100 names, Goodreads author, young adult, and fantasy, but those seemed easier to get but happy to swap out if someone really wants that category)

35559 If we make the guesses today, do we find out what the tasks are today? Or are the tasks not revealed until tomorrow?

35559 Yes, let's discuss strategy....with 10 guesses we could take one large cluster and maybe sink a ship (or two?) in one stroke. Or we could spread them out and hopefully get a better sense of the board as a whole.

I'm not really on facebook (technically I have an account but I rarely check it), so I'll have to rely on the GR chat!

Of all the books you read what character can you relate to the most?

So excited to hear that was a favorite this year! I just finished The Passage, can't wait to get to the next two!
