Completion PostBook: The Warrior of Clan Kincaid
Author: Lily Blackwood
Date: 10/30/18
Pages: 310
Letters: B (author last name), C (character first name - Cull), W (title)
Hmm, ok so we have a few O's available so I'll hold off on The One You Can't Forget until next week since it works for more letters in Werewolf then it does with Cobweb.I'll just try to pick up something that will work for more than one letter.
Looking at what's already been read, it looks like we have the books to finish the second spelling? So what are people already reading for the third one? I want to make sure I pick a letter that's not already covered.I know I'm reading a lot, so I want to try and work around what people already have going. I don't normally read this many books so quickly, but the challenge has me pushing myself.
Judith wrote: "both are such good series"I remember really enjoying the books I did get to, but it's been 3 years and I've read so many books since then that I've forgotten a lot. My memory really is terrible these days.
Samantha wrote: "Also creeping on the Status Spreadsheet, looks like we're currently in 3rd place! Pretty close to 2nd!"That's awesome!
I can definitely cover bonuses for Werewolf if others can't find anything.I've been wanting to reread/continue the Alpha and Omega books and the Mercy Thompson books. I read 6 of the books 3 years ago but never continued, so this could be a good time to reread those and then read the others for the first time.
These definitely have the word in the text, genre, and cover.
This one just makes the cut based on page count.Completion Post

Alright, starting my second read now with The Midnight Line. I don't know if I'll finish it tonight since it's already almost 10pm, but I hope to get a decent chunk of it done at least.Right now it only works for the letter C for author last name, but I'll see if any of the significant side characters will cover other letters.

Letters: B (author last name), C (character - Cornelia)
Bonus: Word in text = "I flapped my arms, trying to keep my balance, but I only got more tangled in the long white cobwebs that drifted down from the ceiling." — Page 59
Starting my first book 25 minutes late as I just got home after running errands all day, but time to start The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding. I should be done in a couple of hours since it's a middle grade book which I tend to read faster.
Judith wrote: "FYI -Completion posts will go right in this thread. Samantha and I didn't ask for a books read thread so we just have the one.
You can also just put things right in the tracking spreadsheet. I w..."
Thanks for posting this. Since this is my first team challenge, I was wondering how we'd report the books we've finished.
It's getting so close to start time! I can't wait!
Oh wow I'm terrible at picking only one favorite, so I'll just add a few.I reread one of my favorites for the fourth time, The Great Zoo of China. Think Jurassic Park but with dragons.
The fourth book in one of my favorite series came out, What I've Done.
I've started the October Daye series which is fantastic, the first book is Rosemary and Rue.
I've read and loved the first book in two romance series, The Ones Who Got Away and A Princess in Theory.
Plus I read the entire Naughty Princess trilogy which are possibly some of my all time favorite contemporary romances now, the first book is At the Stroke of Midnight.
As to what I'm most excited for, it's hard to choose. I have an entire shelf for books that aren't out yet.

Judith wrote: "...And we are allowed one partially completed word. So if we spell Cobweb, say 3 times, and then only have Cobw, we can still get points for those 4 books. We just obviously wouldn't get completion points..."Don't we only get the extra 15 completion points the first time we spell the word? I didn't think we got them every time we spelled the word.
I have books that will work for every letter, so I can read whatever. My goal is to try and read one book per day, so I should end up completing the entire word at least once. Or I can always read multiples of a specific letter if it's needed.A few options I'm considering are below.
I know for sure that my first read will be The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding by Alexandra Bracken. This one has cobwebs in the text, so we can knock that challenge out the first day.
Judith wrote: "I'm going to read one of the stupid looking books found for the genre of 'cobwebs' because I'm a great captain and don't want to torture any of you. ..."Thank you for taking that bullet for us! I had a look and none of the ones where it was on the first page sounded particularly good so I was hoping someone else would grab this one.
Judith wrote: "As people start deciding on books, let me know if you have something that works for the bonus spots..."
I was planning to read The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding by Alexandra Bracken as my first book and if the plural cobwebs is ok, then that book has it several times in the text according to Amazon's Look Inside search.
