35559 I think I found a scale for us.

10 lb Penalty by Dick Francis

It's a racing scale, but a scale nonetheless. I'll pencil it in for potions class.

And maybe some things from the cover, too?

That octopus, or the swords? Possibly the skull and crossbones?

35559 Found it!

◈ Q: Do characters in non-fiction books count?
A: Typically no. For example, if it is a historical account of WWII and the story is about Winston Churchill, he is not considered a 'character'.
Exceptions would be something like a memoir, ( e.g. Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness) where someone is recounting events and situations ; then it is possible there would be characters.

35559 I'm in the middle of Prisoner right now!

Devann, it depends on the book. Is it a memoir? You can count those people as characters. For some reason a history book didn't seem to count.

I'll see if I can find the response in the captain's group and post here.
35559 Flying through book 3. Should be able to start this one soon.

35559 Hi team! How is everyone’s reading going?

We are going to fill in a few more classes and see where we have needs. I’d like to start with DADA and transfiguration because those seem the most specific.

Let me get some lunch and I’ll post a few questions to see if we have books that work.
35559 Absolutely adoring this one. Pandora is a favorite of mine. The sparks between them at the beginning!

Loved the slight of hand trick with his calling card. She’s intrigued.

Going back in now. I’ll try to update as I go, but I’m really sucked in.
35559 So true! That quidditch match in the storm was crazy.

35559 Started this one this morning. Doing Jim Dale on audio.

35559 I changed my opinion of Rusty by the end. I understand him a little better now. I also was ok with how the girls' relationship evolved.

I believe it was just an honest mistake. Lots of excitement and mistakes/edits all through this thread.

35559 Usually, yes, but with the family, no. I did get some audio time on the flight and during my run on the treadmill, though!

Enjoying the beach in Monterey right now!
