I'm done as well. I figured something was coming (view spoiler)[ and it was kinda stressful reading and waiting to find out what it was. I did think Jacob would die somehow and that it would have to do with water since Beatrice was so worried about the hot tubs, but never thought it would be in his favorite place. (hide spoiler)]

My impression of Beatrice improved (view spoiler)[ when she kept their plan to move. I would have liked an epilogue about where everyone ended up .. I normally read romance novels and I'm used to that HEA or at least HFN. (hide spoiler)]

No, I'm finding this book very depressing and I don't like the characters much - not that I dislike them, I just can't relate to them at all. Jacob sounds like such a slob.

I'm up to chapter 45 and (view spoiler)[they just got back together and are planning their move to Memphis. I understand that Beatrice didn't want to be like her mother, but their break-up was so sad and pointless. (hide spoiler)]

I also had to laugh at the references to the 405! And this was written back in 2002!!!!

I am so confused by the Quidditch. Regardless of what's actually happening, good job Danielle!!!

I'm up to chapter 22 and it's so sad that Beatrice (view spoiler)[ doesn't want to have anything to do with her dad and ignores him in the restaurant. (hide spoiler)]

As for Beatrice's anger (view spoiler)[ when Jacob's ex shows up, well that's just immaturity and insecurity - she's afraid Jacob will leave her. Also, I can't remember what chapter it was in, but it was sad that she felt afraid to tell Jacob she loved him because she's still thinking about what the fortune teller told her about her soul mate dying young. @Linda - I saw your note in the completed book thread. To count as a buddy read you need to interact with other readers, so just posting comments doesn't count. What you can do is keep an eye on the thread and I'm sure other readers will catch up to that book in the series soon. It's so fun reading about all the different wizards at the Quidditch finals - and yes, I loved the one in the nightgown as well and his refusing to wear pants! It was also interesting how Harry was wondering how he never thought of wizards being in other countries.

The Quidditch match was hilarious (view spoiler)[ I loved how it turned into almost a free-for-all with the veelas and the leprechauns fighting. And I would love to have a pair of omnioculars! (hide spoiler)]

I'm fine going slow - I don't have any formal plan in mind. I'm reading several books at once right now, so probably several chapters a day but I'll wait for you. Or we can delay until after the weekend if that's better for you.

I've read through Ch 4, and I'm finding these characters a bit strange. It's nice that Beatrice (view spoiler)[ sees more to Jacob than his looks, but he seems really creepy to me at this point of the story. It's definitely not how he's described in the blurb! (hide spoiler)]

I've just finished as well. I love this book and Pandora was so much fun. Nothing, other than her hearing, seemed to get her down. (view spoiler)[ Even after her injury she was just as funny and amusing as ever and I was so glad she was able to get Gabriel to lighten up. And she was so brave to be willing to try and identify the bad guy. (hide spoiler)]

Michelle - The Wallflowers and The Hathaways are also great series and they interconnect with characters.
