Just gone done reading that part - I love what Dumbledore did!

I'm up to this point as well and I'm really enjoying this book, which kinda surprises me. I have a hard time with most of the classics but this book really hooks you in. (view spoiler)[ It was so exciting reading about Dantes' escape from prison. Also, seeing how much he learned from Faria and how he now uses it. And how he can still be kind and generous to people - I'm really liking Dantes! (hide spoiler)]

I'm trying to think of creatures for Dark Arts - do they have to be creatures mentioned in a Harry Potter book?

Dragons? Witches? Werewolves? Snakes? Demons? What to you guys think?

I was thinking if we could use a snake, then Sassafras's book Lion and the Falcon could work 'cuz a falcon could kill a snake. Of course then we've got to find a snake book, but I'm sure there are some snake shifters out there.

Don't forget about the buddy reads! I haven't done a lot of them myself in the past (it's hard for me to put down my book to go and discuss it in the middle sometimes) but you get other points of view and ways of looking at things. Plus, it's an extra 30 points (40 points if you read the Harry Potter books) and there are so many going on. And if a book you want to read isn't already set up as one, it's easy to ask for it to be.
