35559 Does anyone have any recommendations for authors whose last names start with I or X? These are the only two I'm having difficulty finding (I know some with first names or letter in their name, but I really want to do my whole list with last names if at all possible). I've found a few lists of authors, but none of their works looked very good or I couldn't find a way to get a copy of their work through the library, etc. I'm interested in the following genres:

YA, sci-fi, mystery/suspense/thrillers, humor, post-apocalyptic, dystopian, contemporary... pretty much anything but romance

Thank you, thank you, thank you! =)

No need to hurry, this version doesn't have end date. Take your time."

Thanks, Tea! ^^ This seems like a perfect annual challenge, so I want to see if I can get through it this year to start again next year =)

35559 I wish I joined this group a week ago and knew about this upcoming read/discussion. I just started reading this book this weekend, and it was so good I finished it in a day and already took it back to the library. Everyone enjoy!

35559 Hi everyone! My name is Elise, and I'm a bookaholic (and aspiring novelist/writer). Next year, I am hoping to start A Book a Day Reading Challenge, so I am ramping up my reading this year. I've lately found myself reading so many mediocre to just plain terrible books, so I thought I would give a book club a try. Also, it's always nice to have more people to talk about your favorite books with =)

A little bit about me:

Birthday: February 20th
Favorite Book(s): Timeline
Favorite Book Genre: Sci-fi, space opera, dystopian, post-apocalyptic, thrillers
Favorite Author: Michael Crichton, Scott Westerfeld
Favorite Color: Purple
Favorite Food: Mac n cheese!
Any Pets: Starbuck (named for BSG and not the coffee) my dog, and Smeagol (surprising a female) our cat
If I could live anywhere in the world it would be: there are so many places I would still love to visit, but to live it's either Colorado or somewhere in an old missile sylo or out in the middle of nowhere, Montana.
Finish the line: I know I'm a book addict because.... I hoard books from the library, I force my books upon my friends when I think they'll like them, and I can find a why to read just about anywhere (even while walking around the neighborhood)
