When did you want to start? I might be up for it but I don't think I would be able to start quite that early.

◈ 40 Hours and Beyond – or a Trilogy!
Beyond epic, indeed! Time to implant ear buds in your head. Forty hours or more! For this one we will also allow a trilogy that qualifies in length, or three books anywhere within a series, if you “read” all of it/them via audio.

◈ In-Sync Multimedia
Use an audible sync option to read-along! Such as the new read-along with your Kindle option by audible.com called Whispersync, which remembers your last stopping point in either device. However, you may read a book using any two media choices your desire, as long as one of them is via audio.

◈ Digital Downloads Freebies: Storm in a Teacup: The Physics of Everyday Life via Libby (Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County)

◈ Doing it “Old School”
Use audiobook CDs, or cassette, or even LPs or 8-Track-Tapes, if you have them! Don’t have the right equipment? Oftentimes your public library will have these devices to loan.

◈ Planes, Trains, or Automobiles with an Audiobook: The Other People by C. J. Tudor

◈ Classic Read: Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie

◈ Re-Read a Favourite
Old or new, choose a book you’ve read and loved - and see if you could possibly love it even more via audio. (Note: The right narrator is even more crucial here!)
35559 Finally finished! I really like the ending. Getting up to it got a bit tedious but I thought it was worth it.

I agree with you Laura, (view spoiler)

This book made me think about time a lot. I still don't know that I believe some of the premise but interesting.
35559 You both motivated me to pick up the pace and I am definitely interested in what will happen. I am not quite half way through book 5 but I am going to try to finish today, it not I will definitely finish tomorrow.

It has been fun but I am not sure how much more of the cycle I can take. Hoping things settle down, or at least take a turn, soon.
35559 Laura, that's great! Can't wait to find out your favorite part but I'm not far enough yet. I'm close to book 3.
35559 I would like to nominate Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson.
Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson

Goodreads Description:
Lillian and Madison were unlikely roommates and yet inseparable friends at their elite boarding school. But then Lillian had to leave the school unexpectedly in the wake of a scandal and they’ve barely spoken since. Until now, when Lillian gets a letter from Madison pleading for her help.

Madison’s twin stepkids are moving in with her family and she wants Lillian to be their caretaker. However, there’s a catch: the twins spontaneously combust when they get agitated, flames igniting from their skin in a startling but beautiful way. Lillian is convinced Madison is pulling her leg, but it’s the truth.

Thinking of her dead-end life at home, the life that has consistently disappointed her, Lillian figures she has nothing to lose. Over the course of one humid, demanding summer, Lillian and the twins learn to trust each other—and stay cool—while also staying out of the way of Madison’s buttoned-up politician husband. Surprised by her own ingenuity yet unused to the intense feelings of protectiveness she feels for them, Lillian ultimately begins to accept that she needs these strange children as much as they need her—urgently and fiercely. Couldn’t this be the start of the amazing life she’d always hoped for?
35559 How are you two coming along with the book? Thoughts on how much you want to read this week? I'm enjoying it and still wrapping my head around how the 'false memory syndrome' manifests. Some I can kind of understand, not sure about the timing.

Curious to see what happens next with Helena.
35559 So I listen in the car on my commute and I started Book 2. There is a big revelation that makes sense and definitely puts a spin on the direction that the book will take. Still confused about 'shadow memories' in related people but I am definitely intrigued.
35559 The audio is, but I have to pay closer attention. They definitely start off with the person and date, but I don't think it said the Book #. I just finished Book #1 as well and have started a bit of Book #2. I am enjoying but I am having a bit of trouble with some of the premise. I am going to have to think about it a bit, or stop thinking so much.

I really liked Dark Matter up until the very end. It got a bit strange for me. Didn't help that everyone was raving about it and saying it was better than All Our Wrong Todays when I was reading. There are similarities, but both very different. I am hoping for better with Recursion.
35559 The audio was done well, there are two narrators. A male for Barry and a female for Helena. I've just started the chapter: Helena - June 20 2009. Here we are close to learning about what FMS is. I have some ideas but waiting to see what happens.

I've only read Dark Matter by Crouch before this. Depending on how I like this, I may need to read more.
35559 Meant to post here. I am listening to the audiobook, so no help on pages. I'm about 1/5 of the way through. Not exactly what I expect in terms of the false memory syndrome but very interesting. There are things that remind me of Dark Matter, so I am very curious to find out what exactly is happening.
