The school, everyone has "super powers" or "adaptations"... except that these changes are killing them, instead of making them stronger.

1. It’s interesting to see the dynamic between the main girls (Hetty, Byatt, Reese). They can fist fight over food one minute, but still be best friends the next. Reminds me of my sister & I. LOL. Have you ever had this kind of relationship with someone?
As an only child, I've never had that kind of relationship with a peer. But I think in that situation, you adapt along with the changes in life.
2. Byatt sneaks out of the room when she thinks Hetty is sleeping, then crawls up in Reese’s bunk when she returns. Where do you think she snuck off to? & what did she mean when she said to Reese, ”If you know something...”? Reese shuts down & kicks her out of her bunk. Wonder what their secret is?
I think it's too early for secret's to be disclosed, but I'm sure it has something to do with what is on the outside
3. How do you think you’d cope with missing your old life/family? Would you be like Hetty & shut down emotionally to prevent more pain? Or would you be like the other girls, laughing & sharing stories of your old life?
I think I would be like Hetty, keep focusing on the next day and keeping hope that there will be an end to the pain and chaos
4. Personally, I’m really enjoying the book already! I love the writing style, the world building, & the characters. I know we’re only a few chapters in, but how are you liking it so far? What aspect of the book do you like best at this point (writing, world building, characters, etc.)?
I really like it so far, I'm farther ahead in the book as it's a quick read. For once , I wish it would be a little longer. I would like to get to know all of the girls better and learn more of their personal histories.

It is a pain in the butt to search, I feel your pain. I did that for Wilder Girls, and found it was a friend in the last team I searched. And a day later I saw someone posted in the captains thread that someone else read it. Some of the captains are outright asking if anyone has read a certain book.
I’m assuming the more recently released books would be more likely to have been recently read. Although it is already October! How did the year fly by so fast?!?

Thanks Ladies!

Vicki- I thought I saw you post in that thread :) it’s interesting to see the variety of opinions.

I can finish if I need to. But otherwise, meh

In the end, I liked the story. And even went on to read the 2nd one, which I liked better . Maybe because I knew what to expect.
Give it a go Vicki!
