Here the thread I had posted. Not sure if everyone can see it because it’s on a captains thread.

I personally don’t care which color we pick, I just don’t want to get penalized because mods disagree.
So can we vote?
Pink or purple?
I’ll say purple because you got it on TE

I had planned on trying for the Pink/Gluttony Sin Bingo
The cover was deemed Pink on the Captains thread, but tineye says Red.
If considered pink, it is also Historical Romance BUT it has to fit the criteria of +600 pages (not), Very long series (not), or author that you can't stop binge reading (that one is a stretch, as I would like to read Pride and Prejudice next).
Input?
go for the Pink Bingo
or just Red cover as per Tineye.

But I don’t think there’s enough pink, purple, red to be 50% for Girls

I agree this is difficult going week by week. I had a monthly mentality because that was what we submitted. And I agree it is a much fairer way to play.
I think (HOPE) we can start books prior to the next week, as that will be helpful for me to meet my quota for the weeks coming up.

Just that Perks one has me nervous 😮

Well, it seems the thread has been overly used or even abused. So the mods are removing it. Which is fine with me. It was getting a bit excessive ;D
So on that note, I recommend you to post your cover here if you are unsure and as a team we decide if it fits or not. Unless it is crystal clear or you have checked it and confirmed on Tineye of course.
There have been some real stretches posted on that thread... whew!
FYI- I had to bring my computer in for repair. It is fried :( but luckily I got my laptop up to snuff and can chat and post from here. yay but $800 later for my other desktop... boo!

10. Thoughts on the deaths, did you care to lose these two or are you just waiting for the body count to increase?
At this point I was just trying to keep all of the houses straight. I feel like these 2 were well liked and it was sad they were the first of what I am going to assume will be others.
11. I like the electric toothbrush detail. What do you think of the room they found? Are there any details from the room that you think are going to be important later?
I'm another audiobook reader who has lost the details of the book in listening. I will most likely be re-reading in the future.
12. The letter clearly has Gideon’s name in it (see below) but we get no comment from Gideon as the narrator on her reaction to this. What do you think of this as an author’s choice and what do you think the letter means?
" ut we all know the sad + trying realit
is that this will remain incomplete t
the last. He can’t fix my deficiencies her
ease give Gideon my congratulations, howev"
no idea, seems very personal though.
13. This quote feel like somewhat heavy handed foreshadowing , though I may be wrong.
“You’re all right. Gideon, Gideon … you’re so young. Don’t give yourself away. Do you know, it’s not worth it … none of this is worth it, at all. It’s cruel. It’s so cruel. You are so young—and vital—and alive. Gideon, you’re all right … remember this, and don’t let anyone do it to you ever again. I’m sorry. We take so much. I’m so sorry.”
She would remember each word later, loud and clear. It seems to imply this is Dulcinea’s voice and does this impact your opinion of her?
It came across as a bit bizarre to me. These would be words of a close friend, not someone who you just met. hhhmmmmm.....
Bonus Question: The skulls on top of the chapters belong to each house but I have been unable to find any pattern or meaning to their order. Anyone think there is a purpose or pattern? Did I miss something obvious?
Good question! I feel the house details and specifics could have been written in more, not that I want to make this any longer of a book. But it would have been more interesting to have more details about each house/planet. Sort of like the houses in HP. I'm a dork like that.

Chapters 8-13
6. What do you think was her purpose of stealing the ring from Gideon?
I'm with the other audioheads, I do not remember a ring.
7. Would you consider this book to be speculative fiction? If so, what are some of the different things you could speculate from this or other parts of the story?
I'm not so sure about speculative fiction. so I would say No.
8. Will this encounter affect Gideon & the Twins in the future? Is it a sign of what’s to come?
I'm sure there will be some affect in the future, blackmail perhaps. And for sure it is a sign to come. I get the impression this is a big test or competition.
9. What do you think Dulcinea’s motive is when talking to Gideon? She seems to be the only one really “intrigued” by Gideon, to the point of wanting to be around her a lot. Is this just normal, friendly interest? Or is there something bigger at play here?
Dulcinea seems to be friendly and harmless. but again, I'm sure there is definitely something bigger at play.

LOL Devann! Thank you for clearing that 3rd twin issue up for me 😂 I have been looking at my sampler with the characters and could not understand where this third twin was, and why didn’t they just call them triplets!? LOL
