35559 I finished two books of my list this week bringing me up to a total of 6 so far.
Dreamland by Sarah Dessen was one of the oldest book on my TBR. For me, it was worth the wait as I probably appreciated it more now than I would have back in 2012.
The Silent Miaow A Manual for Kittens, Strays, and Homeless Cats by Paul Gallico was a book I had physically owned for at least 10 years, but somehow didn't make it onto my TBR list until 2019. So in a way it counts as one of the oldest off my list.

I agree. I have some series that I've been putting off because if I read the first one, chances are it will add many more to my list.

35559 I finished book 4 off my list yesterday. The Make by Jessie Keane which I found to be a good read. My friend gave it to me a few years ago, but it seems she didn't actually read it. It had some sensitive topics in it so the book wouldn't be for everyone, but it was a good mystery with some interesting plot twists.

I did the same thing when I got my kindle. I hope to get a few of them read this year too. I know it won't be many, but some is better than none.
35559 I wore a corset while at uni once. I wanted to see how it made me look. I felt like I looked good while wearing it, but I had to get help to get it on and off and I can't tell you the relief you feel when it is undone. It was way too much hassle and restricting. I like to be comfortable and then I will enjoy myself more which is why I won't wear heels to an occassion.

More on the topic of this book, I haven't actually started it yet. I have a copy now, but I decided to hold off until UNO has started so that on the offchance that I finish it during the challenge, it will count towards my teams progress. I doubt that will happen, but you have made the book sound interesting so far so I might get carried away.

35559 So far this year my TBR is only grown as I've been going through all my books and I've added some that I somehow missed when I first got them. I should finish one or two for this challenge by the end of the month and then hopefully from next month my list will start going down again.

I read that for an assignment in English Lit in sixth form years ago and I remember finding it hard to put down. I'm considering re-reading it again as I don't remember the details and I seem to remember enjoying it.

35559 I finished 2 off my list last night. Winnie-the-Pooh (Winnie-the-Pooh, #1) by A.A. Milne and Tokyo Ghoul, Tome 1 (Tokyo Ghoul, #1) by Sui Ishida . I did, however, add the rest of the books for Tokyo Ghoul onto my TBR... but I should finish the series this year so hopefully not much harm done there.

35559 So far I have done my usual thing where I start several books and then read whichever one I'm most in the mood for at the time. As a result, I have yet to finish anything that would count towards my list (I finished one which I thought was on my TBR, but it was not).
I should finish Winnie-the-Pooh either tonight or tomorrow and then hopefully my next one won't be too long after.

Well done everyone who has made progress already!
35559 I haven't got a copy yet, but I will probably buy one on kindle or use an Audible credit. Maybe both.

I haven't see the film of this book or anything so I know next to nothing about the book going in.

35559 I finished my last book, bringing my total for this challenge to 87. 109% with the newest goal. If I had stuck to my original goal of 30, I'd be at 290%.

I finished 3 series, several classics and many audiobooks.

See you all next year where I will read more series, more classics and probably more audiobooks (although I do want to finish more of those physical books I have next year).

Yes, I plan to do the same too. This year I challenged myself to 365 books, but at points I fell around 10 books behind schedule. I'm on track to finish still but it meant I read lots of really short books to get back on track.
Next year my goal will be much lower, at least initially, so I can tackle some of those longer books that have been waiting for me to read them.

35559 Congrats to everyone who has finished for this year!

I still have 2 books I would like to finish, one physical and one audiobook.
I also made the mistake of added some new books to my TBR so now it's back above 800. I was so happy to have it under 800 but at least it is still 100 less than at the beginning of this year.

35559 I only managed 10 from my list (out of 30) but I did get lots of others off my TBR.
A lot of the books it generated were newer whereas I tend to lean towards trying to read the older books on my TBR which are mostly classics.

Hopefully I’ll do better next year with this challenge though.

35559 I just had a quick look through my TBR list and I have about 50 books on there that are under 100 pages (mostly free kindle books) so I might try and read those next year. I plan to read a few longer books next year too, so that should make quite a nice balance.
