I finished my Australia book already. It had nice short chapters so was a very quick read.

I've added both. I will do the Australia book first as that is shorter.

I also found a FISH book as well, I might be able to get it done tonight as well, but I might fall asleep before that. Would definitely get it done tomorrow.

Day 3 - Chapters 17-25

11. We learn a lot more about the library in this section, for example that new head librarians create new systems to secure their power and make themselves indispensable. I know we have a few librarians in this group… how do you feel about that? 😅 If you’re not a librarian –what would you do if the library you use just changed systems whenever it felt like it?
I'd probably be annoyed if the library changed system whenever it wanted. I would get used to where certain sections are and know where to go for the sort of book I was after, only for it to be different next time.

12. We also finally had our stories converging, albeit briefly. Livira and Evar were exploring new places in consecutive chapters, both of them marking their origin/path (Livira with books, Evar with a knife) and then their journeys culminate in them meeting in what Livira identifies as an “in-between place”. Were you expecting them to meet so soon? What was your impression of their brief time together – and why did the meeting end so abruptly?
I was expecting their meeting, but I wasn't expecting them to get split up so quickly after meeting.

13. In her time in the library, Livira acquired a companion in the raven: is he an ally or guide? Or something sinister? Do you think it’s actually “just” a (magical) animal or maybe even a character we know already?
Definitely a guide at the moment. I'm not sure what else at this point. I think the raven might have a human form (or had), but I don't know who.

14. I can’t help but constantly think of the Book of the Ancestor as I’m reading this – the young girl protagonist who’s an outsider, the school setting, navigating friendships and political machinations while also learning about whatever type of magic there is… Have you read anything else by Mark Lawrence?
I have not read anything else of his yet.

DQs Day 2 Chapters 8 - 16

6. How are you enjoying the book so far? How's the pacing for you?
I think the pacing is fine at the moment. I'm enjoying the book.

7. What are your favorite characters, situations, quotes so far?
I think my favourite character so far is Lavira.

8. What are your fondest memories of a library?
I already kinda answered this in my Day 1 answers. I also used to enjoy going to the library every week and borrowing films that I would not have seen otherwise. I would watch them on repeat all week.

9. Library as prison... does that ring true for you?
I suppose it could feel that way to some people. It doesn't feel that way to me though.

10. If you could have one natural ability relating to books (view spoiler), what would it be?
I would love to be able to read a book in any language. Or be able to read super fast and retain all the information.

I just finished Day 1's DQs for The Book That Wouldn't Burn. I'm hoping to get Day 2's section done before I call it a night. I have almost no plans for tomorrow so if all goes well, I will be able to finish it within the next 24 hours.

DAY 1 CHAPTERS 1-7

1. Ahhh.. The Library! ..My happy place. And what a beautifully intriguing cover! How often do you visit your local library and have you visited any famous libraries around the world. Do share!
I wish I had visited more libraries. I have yet to visit my new local library. I keep meaning to, but things make me forget to do it. Thanks to online servies, I can use their ebook and eaudiobook services. When I was visiting in Norway, it took a long time to persuade my boyfriend to take me to the library that was just across the road from the house. Their English selection was not very large, but when I am living there and my knowledge of Norwegian grows, I would love to spend more time there. We did borrow a childrens book "My first 1,000 words" which had both English and Norwegain words for things and we sat down together a coupld of times and went through it. My boyfriend said he really enjoyed doing that with me.

2. The first chapters describe a barren wasteland with an equally hopeless type of existence for Livira and her people. But straight away we establish that there is something special about Livira as she rises above her surroundings and the life she seems destined for. But circumstances change... your first impressions of Livira and how she influences her new destiny.
I like her more than Evar so far, but maybe that's because we've seen her more in action.

3. The chapter headings.. how do they fit into the tale? Do you find them interesting as a guide or somewhat cryptic at this stage of the story?
They are confusing and cryptic, especially as I am reading this in audio form. It's difficult to go back and see if/how they had meaning.

4. Enter Evar in Chapter 4 and the scene changes from the barren Dust to the mysterious and atmospheric library and its Mechanism. A lot of information to absorb about how it all works and the role of Evar and his "family". Does the author do a good job in getting across what the library is and does? Is it good, evil or omnipotent?
I'm still a bit confused at this point, so I will wait a bit longer to pass judgement on the library.

5. "Evar, don't turn the page. I'm in The Exchange. Find me at the Bottom" .
Who wrote this sentence and what is its purpose at this point in the novel? What impact do you think it will have in the story moving forward?
It could be from Evar himself in the future. Or maybe Livira.

I still have The Book that Wouldn't Burn to read which has a brown cover. I'll get started on that tonight and do my best to get it done tomorrow or latest of Friday. I'll update the spreadsheet when I get on my laptop

I have a green book that I can read pretty quick if no one else has one. I can try and get it done tomorrow after my other task book.

Looks like the formula wasn't added. I fixed it now and the others should work now too.

I just DNF'ed Ready or Not. One of the free kindle books I added in 2014. I was finding it boring and I didn't care what happened.

Since my last post, I deleted the books I added in 2014 that I don't have access to and with this book removed, I only have 3 left!

I had family visiting today so not much time for reading today. I will do a bit before bed. I've got a quite week coming up so hopefully I will get lots read in the week.

I finally finished part 3 and the book.

A lot happens in the part. I remember reading it the first time and being shocked about Coin. I never saw it coming back then. Prim upset me the most and still does.
I would have liked a bit more detail about how things were after and how they rebuilt everything.

The Mini has begun (about an hour ago)

I'm a good chunck of the way through several books. I'm going to get very close to finishing The Spy Who Loved Me today and then finish it tomorrow after the mini has started.

I'll also try and get closer to the end of Mockingjay today so that I can also finish that off tomorrow.
