35559 I found a load of U books on my library app and I have lots of I's saved. Some of them aren't very long, but that just means I can read them quick and I could balance it out by reading a long book.

Marie - I also looked at The Count of Monte Cristo. Maybe I will finally tackle it during this challenge. It's very unlikely to happen in the first round though

I also did the same thing with 2 library apps I have. I have some Audible credits just sitting there so I'll probably use one of those nearer the time if it's still not looking good for the library holds

I've read It before, but I might read it again during this challenge too!

35559 I think I still have a couple of V books left and I'm sure I could find a dreaded X or two if needed.

Marie, I can't imagine what made you think of that as your shelf name! :P

35559 Hello team! I see lots of familiar names here and some not so familiar, but hopefully that will change!

I am Keely, one of your co-captains. I am from the UK but will be in Norway for pretty much all of this challenge. For those that don't know, I am planning on moving to Norway to live with my boyfriend but because of boring (and annoying) rules, waiting for permission to move is long. So I visit as often as I can for as long as I can in the meantime!

I don't think I have any letters I've been saving, but I am hoping to make progress with some series I have already started. These include A Song of Ice and Fire (book 3 onwards), The Lunar Chronicles, and A Court of Thorns and Roses (book 2 onwards). These will come off my TBR list too!

I am planning on mainly focusing on longer books (for big points) which is why I signed up with a smaller number, but I am always happy to read something shorter and find random books that work to help fill in any gaps.

35559 Would you guys say this is 50% or more purple?

Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer

It could be argued that the black looking bits are just very dark purple.

35559 Laila - I hope you don't mind that I removed your book for 'car on cover' so that I could add mine and complete the monster!

35559 Thank you, Jamila! I'm slowly crossing them off. I've read quite a lot of re-reads this year which I've not really done before, but it has been nice to revisit stories I had forgotten details about.

I know. I made a little agreement with myself that if I struggled to get to 10% of a book then I would delete it. I've done well with that so far, but the ones I've got further with, I have enjoyed so far however I got distracted by other books.

35559 I've finished 3 books from my TBR lately. The Downloaded by Robert J. Sawyer The BFG by Roald Dahl The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson . All three were okay, but I can't say they were worth the wait.

I have a sort of mini goal which was to read 15 books from my kindle. I've manged 6 so far. That mini goal is not going too well. Almost all the books I have on my kindle are books I got for free so I know some of them are not going to be all that good. The main problem is that I keep starting one and then get bored and decide I want to read a different genre. So I now have at least 10 that are somewhere between 10-50% complete. I am going to try and finish at least a couple of those this year, but I don't think I'm going to hit the target of 15.

35559 Congrats on clearing a year, Lexi!

I'm getting close with some of my earlier years. I've got some long books to get through too.

35559 You reminded me this is a thing. I'll have to try and get around to this soon.

35559 I finished #39 Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami

Feels like the first book off my TBR in a while. I found 2 more that I can read for the next round of TW so I will be able to keep making progress towards that goal of 50.
