Mini 1 Update

We now meet the requirements for the current itinerary. We have just 2 spots remaining for the current one so if you are nearing the end of a book, do check the sheet before finishing.

Jessica, I moved your Venezuela book down to the next Itinerary to make way for the Madagascar book. I don't know who will finish their book first so we can move it back if necessary. There are now two Venezuela books in Itinerary #5 so if one of them doesn't get used for Itinerary #4, we will have to move one to another Itinerary.

And with that, our current Cheese is complete!!

The next Cheese can be thrown at us at anytime, but until then keep an eye out for any and all letters we can use. Especially harder letter like vowels, X and Z. It can't hurt to have spares in reserve.

I found two books by the same author for an author born in Japan for Mini 3. One is short and I can easily read in a couple of hours. The other is much longer which would mean more points.

I will work on the longer one first and if we need the task finished quickly, I will swap to the shorter one and get that done.

I don't think I have a Z in any of the books I am working through.

Yeah, I know. The main reason I keep my Audible subscription going is because of the plus books. But there just isn't enough time to listen to all the shiny books. Granted, some of the books leaving have been in my library for a year... or two... or more.

I just noticed that a lot of Audible plus books I have saved in my Library are going to leave plus on the 1st July. That might change my reading plans slightly. Most of them are mid length books so would be decent points. One is another 1,000 book which I would love to get through, but not while I still have two others on the go.

I'm still going to finish my pyramid book today. After that, I will see where my mood takes me.

I have now begun two 1,000+ pages books.

A Feast for Crows I hope to finish this week. I find these books a very enjoyable read so once I start, I generally find it hard to stop.

The Diary of Samuel Pepys will be a longer read time. As I mentioned before, I will chip away at it little by little with the end goal being at the latest the of end of June.

I will also read my pyramid book this week and if time allows, one of the books I have listed for a hard country.

Yeah, Audible was the where I looked after checking my library apps. I also used a credit for it when I noticed it said it was only 3 hours long. I knew the book was longer than that.

I did find a version on YouTube where someone has used AI to read it which is not ideal, but I could tolerate it if we get desperate for that task to be complete.

I will read the book one day, but if I read a ebook version now it might take me a while to get through.

I have the perfect book for the geisha task on my TBR but unfortunately the only audiobook versions I can find of it are abridged. That would feel like cheating and most of the reviews are people complaining about how much was removed. If anyone finds a full audiobook version of Memoirs of a Geisha, do let me know!

It looks like it is the sort of book that could fit somewhere else later!

Mini 2 Update

I just realised, we have several books banked that would work for that new task on Mini 2. We could use one of those and get a new task immediately, if you don't mind Jessica.
