Hi, Frida, welcome to the group! I'm so excited to get more players. This is a great team and I'm sure you'll make it even better.

Hi, Erin! Welcome to the team! I'm excited to have new players. We could really use more travelers. :)

Ok, I found a Banned Book that I'm enjoying for mini2,
The Thin Man by
Dashiell Hammett. I always thought it was a serious classic thriller. Nope. Often humor doesn't translate when many decades separate the time it was written and the time it is read. This is hilarious. I love that Nick and Nora are so in love they joke about infidelity and are in no way worried when someone makes a pass at one of them. This particular sense of humor is unusual for the era, at least that I've read and heard of.
It's pretty short so I should be done with it soon.

That's great, Gemma! Thank you!

I couldn't put the Y book down because it was so good so the cheese is done.
I need to read a couple of books for other challenges then I'll read something for one of the other minis.

I finished the O book. I have a Y book I can read but it won't be finished until tomorrow evening.

I'm dropping the X book since we don't need it and I am reading an O book I needed to read anyway. No missing the O this time!

My next useless book is of use now. It has a dragon on the cover!

We just need a book where a character visits a coral reef in order to finish Mexico. Here are some suggestions. (On Wahoo Reef sounds great to me, I just can't add another book for a couple of days.)
•
The Coral Island by
R.M. Ballantyne, is a classic written in 1857 which tells the the story of three shipwrecked boys who discover a tropical island with a coral reef. ("Northern Exposure meets Margaritaville in this comic Caribbean romp.")
•
On Wahoo Reef: A Blacktip Island novel by
Tim W. Jackson came out last year and is the humorous story of a PR executive who buys a dive operation on a Caribbean island with coral reefs.
•
The Reef by
Mark Charan Newton is a 2008 sci-fi/fantasy/thriller with a significant focus on coral reefs.
•
Distant Echoes by
Colleen Coble is a Christian romantic suspense novel where the female MC is a dive researcher hired by the navy to investigate a tragic accident.
•
The Reef by
Nora Roberts tells the story of a marine archaeologist and a salvager join who forces to search for a legendary treasure.

Way to go, people! We finished another country!

How do we keep having enough books for these long cheese names? That's so great!
X is so hard... I just read one a few months ago but it was too recent to do a reread I think. I can't remember what book it was anyway.

My useless book is good after all! It fits museum/gallery!

Great!

Hi everyone! We're all doing so well, reading and marking tasks off. Thanks for keeping track of all the stuff your book can count for, we appreciate it.
We've finally finished Itinerary 1 so we're on to Itinerary 2. We'd like to get more people involved with getting us through this next journey and could really help with the harder countries.
Here's a reminder of where we've been. We need level 2 and level 3 countries desperately. Can anyone else help us out with a leg of this tour?
If you give me a genre you like, I can find a list of books taking place in some of these regions for you.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

I started a U book yesterday but only got about halfway before I had to go to bed. Now I'm not feeling well but I'll read what I can.

That could be.

Great dad!

Weird. I'm glad it's working okay again. It's upsetting when my ereader isn't working or at hand. I went on a trip and forgot mine. It was a really busy trip but at night I like to read. Every night I'd sit in the hotel room thinking, "I can't believe I forgot my ereader!"

Mine is working fine. Where are you located? Is there any weather that could be interfering with the download?

They're manually updated and at least two of those tasks have been completely in the last 20 hours are so. We'll get more tasks soon.
