I made a mistake and signed up for too many books. I deleted one and it was really quite short so not a lot of points. So if someone could take the "I", that would be great, thanks.

it is with so much happiness that my newest nephew was born early Wednesday. My sister in law is amazing, and they are b..."Congrats!
Christine wrote: "...Just a little easier to read the spreadsheet that way :)"Oh dear, so not for me, but I'll adapt. You all are probably already learning that I err on the side of more information, usually too much. I'm trying to get better, but I love spreadsheets and seeing the information makes me happy. :)
But this is good for me. Adapting is good for the soul.

On the spreadsheet, there are three book at the top that aren't in a word, but have letters by them. Why is that?

I'm assuming that since we're early in the period it's okay if I read the books a little out of order. One of my books was on hold and has more people waiting. It's in the third reiteration of the words but we're almost halfway done with #2. I want to read it since other people are waiting. I have ample time to read the one other book I've signed up in the second word.

I'm not a huge fan of YA books, too many overly dramatic teens in my life when I was a foster parent, but that sounds good! Without teachers, are the kids just taught with books? How do they know what their assignments are?

M, did you like the bionic cat book? I'm wondering if my mom might like it."
It was an interesting book. Oscar is a sweet kitty, but I wanted to throttle h..."Well I probably won't recommend it to her then. :)

Got it. Thanks! (Wicked Gentleman was a reread. I need to put the second date down.)
I'm used to reading at least a book a day but I was in a reading slump when I signed up. But I also had books to read for another challenge so I rushed to get three read this weekend. They're audiobooks and not that long, 7 hours-ish, and I have them on 1.3-1.5 speed so it goes fast. Many of you read way faster.

No problem. :)
M, did you like the bionic cat book? I'm wondering if my mom might like it.

I think as long as it is there when we go to verify it for posting is good. I would..."I think you meant to ask M. I'm not planning on it although the cover is alluring.

Should I move the book to my Wheel folder now or when it's finished?
Melissa wrote: "I'm starting with Frankenstein - I figure it's a good October, old publication adventure.
What are you all starting with?"That's funny that I used that in my example. :)
I started with
The Orc and the Manny. Fluff but fun. But I need
Wicked Gentlemen for another challenge so I'm going to pause and switch.

I can do it. Just a minute. OK. Done. It will take 15 minutes or so to take effect.

I had to delete my "C" book so if anyone has a book to put there, we need it for our second full word.

I've read a Gamache book (as an ARC!) and I agree it was quite good.

I added some. We now have two full rounds of the word and a few more in the third. In case we get to the fourth, I added a book a really want to listen to. I know it won't count unless we fill up the third rendition of the word but since a lot of people haven't added anything, I figure we'll get way past that. I'm not quite to my max but almost.

I haven't added any books yet because I'm a bit of a mood reader. I'll try to choose books that we need most when we start.
M, that is brutal! Is it within the city or do you live in a suburb? At least it's transit so you can read. I've heard it takes forever to get across town in Vancouver. I love the city though. I lived in Bellingham for a time and used to go fairly frequently.

Goodreads doesn't automatically check the "notify me when people comment" box anymore, you have to manually check it. I, too, stopped receiving notifications for forums I had already posted in so I think they turned it off for all lists a person has posted in. It's really frustrating because I post in too many places to know them all too look for a reply.
