34844 1 - I indulged on Friday and the house is full of fresh flowers. It really does feel like spring.

2 - Catching up a bunch of little things, which somehow has the cumulative effect of making me feel like I accomplished a big thing. ;-)

3 - Happy experiments in cooking. Not all my experiments turn out, so...

4 - Rain. I mean, I'm ready for spring, but it's wonderful having all this rain we so desperately need.

5 - The early planning stages of a new book. This time it's Corpse at Captain's Seat.

I'm fine with any of them, honestly.

This could be fun! I haven't read KJ since the last time she was a book of the month here.

OR maybe something by Cat Sebastian? I've got several of her books on my kindle, but (the story of my reading life) haven't found the time to dive in yet.

The Italian translation of the Fatal Shadows Collector's Edition came out. In addition to all those goodies--art, codas, interviews, chapters from Jake's POV--it contains the final exclusive AE short story.

It is a very deep, very old rabbit hole...

It's ironic really. I spent the majority of my life frustrated we weren't changing things fast enough--and now I'm watching a horrifying number of things we did change, get rolled back in the space of six years.

Which is a thought that's a bit grim for a Sunday morning. I'm going to make coffee and brioche breakfast sandwiches for the SO. :-)

Good Lord. That doesn't sound particularly anti-semitic to me. Clearly many Israelis themselves are not thrilled with their government at the moment.

That's a relief. It's exhausting that so many hardwon protections are being rolled back so fast. For example, Arkansas just loosened restrictions on child labor laws. We won't even get into the ongoing assault on a woman's right to any kind of autonomy. Half the time, I feel like I'm suddenly living on another planet.

The perfect vacation is a combination of both. A couple of days to catch-up and do some long-planning projects, but also a few days of just rest and relaxation--and hopefully a change of view.
