Yes i would have to agree this would not be the book i'd rec to someone new to my work.

i think it is much more about what love is, how we fall in love vs what makes love lasts. there is a fantasy element of course but the real exploration of love between dissimilar personalities is grounded in reality i think.

that might not qualify as romance fiction for some, but the idea that a romance can only take place within a single novel is a unique notion ;-D

The McKellen film is very good, very touching. I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I did very much.

The Michael Caine film is so funny. I've seen it many times--and I'm thinking it's about time for another viewing. :-D

Yeah, this was bad timing because of the holidays and having a book due OH YEAH, THAT. I had buyer's remorse the first night, big time, but five days in I love him dearly, little fiend that his is. So I'm trying hard to reassure Marlowe he is loved every bit as much as ever and this little maniac will eventually grow into a playmate.

34844 Jordan wrote: "I just saw on Instagram that Josh got a new puppy!!!"

He's so cute. SO terrifyingly tiny. Eight pounds, three months, a rescue by the name of Spenser (as in Spenser for hire). His original name was Watson, which I thought was already perfect, but I let the SO make these decisions since *cough* according to him I just go ahead and do what I want anyway. ;-D

The difficult part is Marlowe is very, very unhappy. I wanted the puppy for him, because he's so playful and I thought maybe a little buddy to chase and chase him would be just the thing.

But as of right now Marlowe is not happy--which breaks my heart.

Thank you, Antonella! I agree it's very simple to vote--there's also a comment section, and I think that might actually in the end mean more than even the votes themselves because it gives everyone an opportunity to say why they feel like having a commercial project featuring LGBTQ characters is important.

It doesn't even have to be about my book, it's that it would be nice to help potential filmmakers understand that there is an audience out there.

Thank you, Steve! I've been trying to get over to post most of the morning. But I now live in PuppyLand where life revolves around the needs (real and imaginary) of a three month old maniac with needles for teeth. My arms look like I'm self-harming and I haven't really slept since Friday night.

I saw and approved this one--I hope it made it all the way through to publishing.

I used to not moderate but I started getting hit with a ridiculous amount of spam--literally dozens of comments on every post. So I had to change to moderated status. I hate spammers so much.
