So... tick tock.

The SO used to work at B&N and that kind of thing did happen occasionally, but more than once or twice and the staff would put an end to it. Amazon claimed that people who abused the policy were weeded out, but it simply wasn't true. And the abusers knew it and spoke of it openly!

Thank goodness for the Tik Tockers who brought attention to this serious failure of Amazon's safety net!!

(Yes, that was totally tongue-in-cheek.)

Next The Author's Guild must take aim at Amazon-Audible's return policy, which is the exact same situation.

What made you decide to take the test, Jordan? Was this something you'd been planning for a while?

34844 1 - A day spent with my sisters. It's literally been almost three years since the three of us had a day together to just eat and drink and talk and laugh--no rehearsal, no family get-together, no gig. Just us being us. It was wonderful. Every minute.

2 - This gorgeous September weather. It's so beautiful right now. And the light in the garden is so lovely.

3 - My crazy little dogs. As I type this they are at the living room window -- Marlowe howling as he does when Spenser gets all worked up, and Spenser (all worked up) barking his outrage that someone has dared to walk on our street without his express permission. Also the fact that I can, mostly, work through all that.

4 - District Judge Raymond Dearie and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

5 - Cupcakes

Your cat sounds like a character. ;-D

Also, I don't know if it's my imagination, but ever since having covid, I have so many weird aches and pains and peculiar symptoms. It could be a coincidence. It could be that nine months later, I'm nine months older. So, yes, I hear you on valuing your health as you get older. When you're young you take it for granted.

I read several of her books when I first landed in M/M. I think she had a lot of fun writing. I haven't seen much from her in recent years, but we moved in different circles.

Yes, it will definitely have an impact on creating quality audio for those of us paying per finished hour versus those opting for royalty share. It takes significantly longer to earn out now than it did when I began creating audio. Granted, there's a lot more competition now. But even so.

I think I have that one too. I bought a slew of print books about a month ago. I'm DETERMINED to do more reading and for some reason print seems more accessible right now.
