33903 I Like Big Dragons and I Cannot Lie (I Like Big Dragons, #1) by Lani Lynn Vale

Shelf: Kickass Hero
Finished: 3.16.17
Rating: ★★★★★ (can I give it more???)

Wow... Just... WOW!!! I love me a good dragon romance, and I think this one was one of the two best that I've read so far. It was sweet, funny, raunchy, action packed... It reads like you're actually there or like your watching it unfold. I could actually see everything happening in my minds eye as if I was watching it on SyFy. My eyes ate up every word then sat up and begged for more. I was actually very surprised when I turned the page and realized the story had ended (my neighbors may have heard that cuss word... oops)

I'm gonna make this review short and sweet though. I have to go buy the other books in the series.

NOW.

But before I do, I absolutely must recommend this one to any dragon romance fan out there. I'm pretty sure you'll love this one as much as I did.

33903 Why Romeo Hates Juliet by Anna Mara

Shelf: Snarky
Finished: 3.11.17
Rating: ★★★★

This was some WILD ride!!! I love a good romantic comedy filled with pranks between the male and female leads, and this one certainly didn't disappoint. It was written in a fairly clean manner and, being a lover of the raunchier stuff, it took me a little while to get used to it. Once I did though, I really enjoyed it. I was very happy to see everything turn out the way it did, even though it wasn't the way I thought it would have been.
Overall, it was quite an enjoyable read and I may have to check out some more of Anna Mara's work.

Due to short lists we've included both. Please remember to check that your book has at least 200 pages, as there are quite a few short ones on these lists.

33903 Awaken Me Darkly (Alien Huntress, #1) by Gena Showalter

Shelf: Futuristic
Finished: 3.5.17
Rating: ★★★★★

Can this woman write or what?! Gena Showalter is most definitely, and without a doubt, THE ISH!!

This book was AMAZING!! I absolutely did not want it to end. Mia Snow has had a rough childhood, but turned out to be such a kick-ass heroine! She's smart, pretty, strong willed and doesn't take crap from anyone. Then there's Kyrin... the tall, handsome, also smart alien. These two are like oil and vinegar: fine on their own, but sooo much better together.

This book had so many twists I didn't know what to do with myself. It's nuts (in the most awesome way possible) when you think something is going to go one way, then all of a sudden BAM! You're hit with some other thing... smh... I had to reread a few parts just to make sure I wasn't seeing things. (Love it when that happens...)

Anywho, I'm eager to see what else is in store in the rest of the series. Hopefully there's more of Mia and the halflings.
