Jenny: The Vault of Dreamers sounds promising. How is it?

It was an ok read 3/5 for me. The first half was a bit tedious but eventually it picked up. I feel like there were events in the book that weren't really pertinent to the main story and it just made the book unnecessarily long.
I didn't really get too close to the main characters, since you do invest much of your reading time in the mystery. Like I said previously, I feel like Pessl tried to include too many themes in her book: occult, voodoo, supernatural, etc.
For some reason the book reminded me of something Quentin Tarantino and Tim Burton would actually make. Not one or the other, more of them two working in collaboration.

For some reason tho. I keep thinking if this book became a movie it would need to be directed by a cross-between Tim Burton and Quentin Tarantino.

heard it was good so might as well try it out. So far its ok, a bit on the slow side tho.

ODA: glad that you like Rebel Belle, but like Heidi, I didn't enjoy that much either.

I don't know what it is about this series that I'm really enjoying, but I won't complain. They're a light fun read. literally takes me just few hours to finish!

I had the misfortune of picking up last night...

UGH! it was so good I couldn't put it down. Finished it in one sitting. Good thing it was a fast read! (Misfortune because I picked it up at night and didn't get to finish it till late into the night. Boo work!)

I just finished...

I just finished it. its good, interesting, but very cliched. A lot of people are a bit mad because they say its a rip-off of And Then There Were None, but I think its more of a re-telling. A very close re-telling.
I like the mystery enough, but the characters are not above and beyond. Writing is good, but, like I said, very cliche.
