32418 I'm starting to appreciate series books because on how much depth they put into their characters and world building. What are your top 5 series that you love with more than 5 books (not including novellas)?

1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling
2. The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan
3. Darkest Powers Trilogy (Darkest Powers, #1-3) by Kelley Armstrong The Gathering (Darkness Rising, #1) by Kelley Armstrong
4. The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #1) by Lemony Snicket
5. The Name of This Book Is Secret (Secret, #1) by Pseudonymous Bosch

32418 ODA: That choice looks really good. Unfortunately I don't have it in my library :(

32418 I love that it's starting to warm up here in Toronto. Not a huge fan of super warm weathers, but really glad that it's not frigidly cold any more
May 29, 2016 06:06PM

32418 I enjoyed the first book of The City of Ember, but never wanted to continue with the series. I've read the reviews as well and they weren't too encouraging.

32418 Just finished...
Front Lines (Soldier Girl, #1) by Michael Grant

it's interesting. Good read, some slow parts, but love the historic aspect of it.

32418 Just finished...
Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier

The third and final book in the Precious Stone Trilogy. These books actually had potential with its synopsis. I enjoyed the first book, but the second and third was a disappointment.
