32418 thanks! I gave myself I big pat on the back when I reached 50!
Nov 08, 2016 05:36PM

32418 I just got up to the second book for this challenge. Bummer cause I was really looking forward to re-reading them. Maybe next year.
Nov 08, 2016 05:34PM

32418 I haven't updated this in quite awhile and I think its too late for me to remedy that. Just way too many months missed.

I'm really proud that I passed my 50 goal for this year though. I haven't been able to do that since joining Goodreads. So yay for me ^_^
TV Shows (1494 new)
Nov 08, 2016 05:33PM

32418 I don't watch a lot TV, I'm more of a movie person, but I'm really looking forward to the Netflix show of Gilmore Girls and Series of Unfortunate Events!!!

Anyone else looking forward to other shows?
32418 JENNY: Thanks for letting us know. I was debating on watching it. Might actually try it out.

I did finish this trilogy and Jenny is right, the books do get better. Not a fan of Jacob still, but I do love all the additional characters.

32418 ASHLEY: if you use Overdrive, its available there.

32418 finished reading...
The Assassin's Curse (The Assassin's Curse, #1) by Cassandra Rose Clarke

It was an ok read. Nothing exciting about it. It reminds me of a cross between Bloody Jack and Pirates of the Carribean.

Currently reading...
Confessions of a Murder Suspect (Confessions, #1) by James Patterson

I'm not really a James Patterson fan, but this book really looked intriguing.

32418 yes, it was. Maybe because these events are told in present tense. We get to see and feel the emotions of the girls. Makes you a bit attached to them.

Where as Yael's life was told through flashback and we only get tidbits of it. The impact it gives you are in doses.

32418 Has anybody read Blood for Blood?
Blood For Blood (Wolf By Wolf, #2) by Ryan Graudin

I'm curious if its good?
Nov 04, 2016 10:34PM

32418 I really enjoyed the alternate history in this novel. Almost reminds me of Brigid's pick, Wolf by Wolf. Since I enjoyed that thought I would enjoy this as well.

32418 Hallo all! I know it's still early, but the holidays is just around the corner and we all know how busy those months can be. Plus, I feel like the months are just flying by. So I'm starting this brainstorming idea earlier this year.

This hidden gem thing is such a blast and we've all read books that's beyond our comfort zone. So I ask you all, do we want to continue this for 2017 or should we try something different?

As usual, we're open for ideas.

32418 ASHLEY: Wow! You're like on top of things. I'm really happy that I started this book then. Now I'm ready for the shows. Well eventual shows.

aww...sorry to hear about your Monstrumologist problems. It's one of my favorite books. Can't win them all. Hope it gets better for you soon ^_^

BECKY: Totally agree with Heidi, especially in the later books.

DIXIE: Not a fan of Girl on the Train, but love twists and turns, might try one of those books in the future.

Started re-reading A Series of Unfortunate Events. Been years since I finished it and I really want to finish them before the Netflix show. Really excited about it! I think Neil Patrick Harris will be a phenomenal Count Olaf. (I just realized he has the same name as Olaf the snowman in Frozen and they have polar opposite personalities!)

32418 A place where we can discuss about Front Lines by Michael Grant.
Things I love (2085 new)
Oct 26, 2016 07:30PM

32418 I'm loving the cold weather right now!

I'm not much of a summer girl, I really do prefer fall or even winter. So, I'm really enjoying the changing of the season

HALLOWEEN! It's almost time trick or treat! Anyone dressing up?
Oct 26, 2016 07:25PM

32418 JENNY: I thought that was the last book as well. I was a bit disappointed that she stretched it out to 4 books. You're right it's really unnecessary.

Just finished...
The Cuckoo's Calling (Cormoran Strike, #1) by Robert Galbraith
enjoyed the last half of the book. The story picked up eventually and now I can't wait to see what the 2nd book holds.

Also finished...
Dark Places by Gillian Flynn Reign of Shadows (Reign of Shadows, #1) by Sophie Jordan

Now I'm unsure of what to read next.
Oct 07, 2016 06:41PM

32418 JENNY: I love Ruby Red, but the other two books was such a bummer for me!

ASHLEY: I really enjoyed read Warm Bodies. Have you watched the movie?
Oct 07, 2016 06:38PM

32418 Alright, that was might first pick as well. So Front Lines for the November Read. I really enjoyed that one!

Front Lines (Soldier Girl, #1) by Michael Grant
Oct 02, 2016 09:57AM

32418 I guess it's my turn to pick for the month of November...

I'm debating between...
Front Lines (Soldier Girl, #1) by Michael Grant or A Study in Charlotte (Charlotte Holmes, #1) by Brittany Cavallaro

Which one do you guys prefer to read?
Oct 02, 2016 09:49AM

32418 I tried reading this book, but I just wasn't in the mood for it I guess. I just couldn't enjoy my reading experience. Maybe I'll try it some other time.
Oct 02, 2016 09:45AM

32418 Going to read...
The Winner's Curse (The Winner's Trilogy, #1) by Marie Rutkoski

haven't really started, but really want to get to it soon!
