Well It was rush delivery but in Alaska nothing gets here when it is suppose to. Even 2nd day air can take up to 5 days. Not always but often.

Oh I agree, they were paramount. But so few. I guess men might actually be dependant on the complement of women.

Yeah, she is doing well today. Hopefully even better next summer. I'm going to take an extra week off if we find another Mastiff. Dinah still wants to "correct" other dogs from time to time. So I need to be there to correct her. Establish that the new puppy is part of the household, and her friend.

Out of all of history that is all there is? That paltry dozen, I think that proves the saying.

It's a lot like pimping your 11 year old daughter out to buy drugs. Yeah sure she can physically have kids. It might kill her but you know, you will still be able to sell the kids.

2 litters by the time she was 3 years old.

<---My Dinah came from a rescue. She had just turned 3 when we got her from her foster home. We were shocked to discover that she had already had 2 litters of puppies. AT THAT AGE!

After a little investigation are spirits were raised though. The Breeder was convicted of animal cruelty and a few other charges. All of his Bitches we kennel kept. I am not talking about a 4 foot by 6 foot cage. I’m talking about the little crates. The only time they were out of the crates was to mate. Sadly Most of the puppies we so un-socialized that they would attack other animals at the rescue. Many of them were put down. But We Got Dinah and she was a handful at first. But She is happy balanced and healthy today. Next summer we are planning on getting her a friend. Probably another mastiff. Mastiff owners really need to know what they are doing, and a lot of people just don’t know how to deal with them.

Those are all great suggestions Ruth; I think I will add some of those into the "box"

Sarah, Eva Braun was not a real wife. A real wife nags you, and drags you kicking and screaming to a better life. Eva didn't do any of that... Also they were married for what 20 min before they offed themselves. Sheech they should have tied the knot years earlier. Save everyone a lot of trouble.

Yes who hasn't herd of her, that wasn't a real marriage that was someone thinking the guy was a god. In order for this Great Guy, Great women thing to work the women has to be powerful too. Eva was a sheep.

Ruth: My wife likes all things art. She is just starting to get into painting, Mostly she sketches. She likes to sketch leaves and plants? I don’t know if that is normal or not but she has entire sketch pads full of leaves. A few years ago I got her one of those pose able sketch animals. She seemed to dig, that. But she only has one sketch pad full of those so… I did buy her a Pencil box full of different darkness’s one year from…. Damn I think it was called “dicks” Oh “dick-blicks” I don’t think that is right either.

I am pretty upset that they let her do that as well. It's good that you received your companion from a Good rescue. With a little effort they maximize the animal’s chances of being in the right home, by proxy ensuring it keeps its home.

Hey what do you mean by "try" to have a list... pessimist! We will never succeed with that kind of attitude. There is no try, only do. Either do, or do not do.

Ok so we have one great guy so far... I am really trying to think of one but I am drawing a complete blank.




A little personal reflection here. If it were not for my wife, my house and puppy, along with all my worldly possessions would be contained in a smoldering creator by now. I think a "good" woman is necessary to hold together a great mans life.

Great men IMO usually have an affinity for a very narrow scope of skills and related attributes. The rest of their lives are in shambles until lil miss perfect comes along to put things in order.

Einstein comes to mind. I know he wasn't single, but if he was I don't think we would have ever unlocked the power of atoms.

I would have to agree with that statement.


Can we start a list of Great men who were single?

The only one I can come up with is Hitler and we all know how that turned out... I think the only women he actually had behind him was his niece... This in itself is icky. I think his niece was the root cause of all his shenanigans! Behind every crazy guy is a crazy girl.

Well, what are men good for if not to strip ideas from women and use them as their own. (Pun intended)
